Getting my 2700k past 4.5ghz

post #1 of 6
Thread Starter
i can't seem to get my 2700k past 4.5ghz. Up to this point I have only changed V core to get to 4.5ghz and it is at 1.30.

Tried going to 4.6 and tried up to 1.34 Vcore and it freezes using very high test on IntelBurnTest.

can anyone shed some light on what other settings I may need to change in Bios to get past 4.5 ?

Pics too small.

What load Vcore are you getting? I've always had good luck (especially with Sandy Bridge) on lowering the PLL a little bit. How much depends on the CPU itself and clock speed, but maybe this.

PLL = 1.65v
VCCIO = 1.1125
VCSSA = 0.925 (or whatever default is, I forgot)

This ^ along with your original 1.35v (assuming load voltage) and see what happens.

K so I tried 4.6 @

1.35 VCore
VCSSA = 0.925
PLL = 1.65v

VCCIO = Couldn't find this one.

Stable at Very High Setting in IntelBurnTest

gonna try a lower vcore.

Oh it's listed as PCH on your board. But if it's stable without messing with that, just leave that alone for now.
