I had a logitech g400s, I hated it when I got it, the shape was a train wreck, but after 2 years using it I got so used that now I miss it frown.gif

You said you loved the MX518. G400 has 1000Hz and a good sensor. The thin cable needs sometimes a replacement, but who uses original cables anyway. wink.gif

+1 !

Owned two 518's and absolutely adored the ergonomy. IMO there is nothing better fitting for the (or my) right hand.

I got myself a G400 (dunno what revision) and it's a worthy successor! I've been using it for three years straight now and cannot imagine switching to anything else. All these new techy-style cut up mice on the market right now just don't work for me.

Sleeved cables, though. Hmm... biggrin.gif

Another one for the g400, I've spent hundreds of dollars looking for the perfect mouse and keep going back to my g400. So damn comfy

There's some G400s on ebay (This one and this one, for example)
You can also buy the DM1 and change the cable and the scrollwheel switch, if it's a problem for you. Also, you should consider the FK1 as well, but since you said that the ZA11 was too thin for you, I don't think you'll like it. But you can give it a try anyways.

In the last case you can buy an used 1.1/wmo or a chinese copy of the 1.1 with a better sensor, like the Jizz J1 (I'm ready for the hate, come at me MLT04 fanboys!)

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention the Hori Edge 101. It might be interesting for you...

Something something something, MLT04 is the best and most raw sensor ever and any other sensor is unacceptably bad, something something something. thumb.gif

I'm surprised the word "raw"(when used in reference to a mouse's performance) hasn't mutated into a meme at this point.

Here's the solution to your problem.
Have all the mice you got in front of you.
Then take a grip on each of them and select the one you find most comfy.
Then you pack the others in a box and hide them away and stick to the one you found most comfy.
Then you have to accept that its not the mouse that make you suck, its you.
A new mouse wont do anything but harm your consistency.

I think many got that "new mouse syndrom", like the first days or week they play very goiod with it, and then ti dabs off

So the only difference between a G400 and the G400s are the +400dpi? Does that justify replacing a G400 for it?

I just switched to the 3600dpi a few weeks ago and can't imagine why I haven't done so earlier.

I had that but to be honest the mouse/mousepad combo I had that made me perform 'best' the mouse was not that comfortable in my hand. I shouldn't have left that mousepad though I can always go back but... gotta try new ones!

@OP, I guess many on OCN feel the same way. At least I do. There are time when the G303 shape feels really good, and other times I cannot get the hang of it and use sth like a Rival. Right now I'm trying to decide between mouse shapes as Aventadoor has suggested. Right now my table looks like this: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/160227/z49qfltb.jpg

That's a G100,G303,FK1,FK2,Rival,Edge101,WMO,IE3.0.

I can grip every mouse somehow, and none is really uncomfortable.
When I grip the mouse so that I can easily lift it and have a good feel of control, then I always measure around ~60mm between thumb and ring finger. On every mouse! So somehow the hand naturally finds the best spot and way to grip any mouse.
