As been said before. Its not the mouse, its you.
You need to accept that you only got yourself to blame.
When they finally release 3366 mice with better shapes, you can come back biggrin.gif

I believe indeed the key is to find something that you can perform with and sticking with it - being content with what you have. Because iotherwise it's a rollercoaster that's never going to end.

So I'm also ordering the DM1. Don't dread in advance what it will or will not be. Cause at the moment, even if you got your ideal mouse, your mindset would still make you unable to adapt.

I therefore recommend you to stick with what you have and perform the best with and try dm1. Another option is to try the g900 that's coming. It's g400sy, but ambi and not so super heavy.
What about ec1-a? You didn't list it. It's similar to DA but even better shape imo.

thanks for the comment i appreciate it, aswell as some other comments here. It's good to know I'm not alone wink.gif and I know I have to stick with 1 mouse, but then again the question is which one if everyone has some major flaws for me.

Well I didn't even test the EC1-A as i kinda hated the surface material and shape of the EC2-A. It's too slippery for my super-dry hands and too "rounded" on the edges. After I realized the ZA-mice have the same coating I guess ZOWIE is just not made for me.

If there was just a possibility to get a legit Deathadder 3G for human price... that mouse had the most perfect sensor-behaviour , grip and shape. But it's already many years ago when I used it so maybe today I would hate it aswell x)

Today my HORI Edge 101 arrived and I'm actually surprised by the mouse. With weights its heavy as a rock and not usable imo but without that metal plate it has a good weight for stable aiming, shape is also quite good and I already fell in love with the metal mousefeet, they glide better than your usual teflons and are notably more consistent from what I feel.

Now i gotta figure out how to tame that crappy mouse cable, I've never had a ****tier cable on any mouse in my life. This thing is literally satan and my desk setup doesn't allow me to use a mousebungee...

Depressed? About mice? You've been on this forum for too long. smile.gif

Who am I to talk, right. I've got quite the collection, but I also collect Single Malts, so...

Has anyone had experience with the Steelseries Rival mice? I'm waiting for the 700 to be released, but the 300 really looks nice too.

And this is coming from a Logi-fanboy (MX518/G400).

You have to realize that your legitimate need for a mouse is maybe 20% of your problem, 80% of your problem is your own approach. You HAVE to stop sweating it so much, just take it easy with your mice (like I said, the more you 'feed' yourself with new info about what mice are out there, the more you will feel depressed). You can be entirely happy while not having your perfect mouse. But yeah, this is up to you.

Why am I saying this? Because I realized the exact same. Now I'm happy regardless if I have a suutable mouse or not.

Just find something that is the least bad for you overall and helps you perform and stick with it until you find something that is better. That means not buying every new release, but only the one that you think will suit you the most.

I just enjoy testing different mice, it's like an addiction.
I haven't been playing as much lately, but I still want to order different mice and test them out.

I've used the original rival which is now called the rival 300. I used it for roughly a year paired with a qck heavy. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the grip but after a while I kinda got use to it. Unfortunately I would 'death grip it' but overall the mouse performed very well and I actually had some sick aim with it after a year of straight usage. I burned through the rubber sides which is apparently what the rival 300 is suppose to have a better variant of. I'm not sure what style is suppose to use the rival 300 maybe palm.. but I use a claw grip so that could be the reason for my initial discomfort

i have to agree with you about the G303. I really hate this mouse. No issues with tracking but the comfort level sucks
