As for dual channel vs quad, with a quad channel motherboard they should run as quad. I personally used two kits of dual channel ram in my X79 rig and it came up as quad no problem and worked great!

You could also try to buy two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232219&cm_re=g_skill_3200mhz-_-20-232-219-_-Product

Then again they may not market a full 64 gig kit.

G.SKILL TridentZ Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C14Q-64GTZ

If you haven't already, expand your search internationally. I know that the two times I has looking for highly binned memory that;s what I had to do, Once in Ireland (???? - They had what I needed), once in Tiawan (that was a memory "boutique" - custom binned sticks, they even binned the IC's). Of course then you're into bank drafts and currency rates.

I have emailed them already, way before asking for it here. No answer so far.

Can't find the 64GB 8x8 Quad channel kit in the store you redirected me, and it's been very hard to navigate there. Google Translate is spitting secure conection serrors all the time.

EDIT: USA/Europe stores is already considered internationally for me. Don't know nothing about other countries, that's why I'm asking for help. But thank you anyway for trying!

If 2 dual channel kits can work flawlessly in Quad Channel mode, that's a relief. I've saved this link here. But I really want to see any information regarding those.

Look at the other kits I mentioned, they may be easier to find, however I didn't find it myself. Not exacly a Quad Channel 8x8 64GB 3000 kit

Indeed, I was confused about it back in the day as well. I think they are basically the same as the ones you wanted, at least got the same timings, speed and volt.

For now, I'm done searching around haha! Time for bed really. Maybe I'll search some more around tomorrow for you.

Thank you very much! I've got 15+ tabs opened here and nothing about them so far. I've emailed G.Skill and I'll post here as soon as they reply me.

My pleasure! Well I did a quick search, came up with nothing really. The closest thing to a test or review was this: http://www.lilireviews.com/g-skill-lanca-kits-ddr4-de-latencia-reduzida/
Basically he tests 2x8gb with the same speed and latency you want for errors.

EDIT: Added the picture here

Closest of what I'm looking for that I found is this kit here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232269

But, you know, 128GB, that would be the hugest memory and money waste of my entire life.

Ok so after spending hours trying to find information regarding this kit and asking everywhere about them, I've got more questions than answers around the internet. So I decided to gather the most common of them and update everything. Maybe we can get a solution with this:

  • Would you be happy with another manufacturer? For example Corsair do a great line.
I am totally OK with other manufacturers, as long as they can keep up with that frequency. May seem useless but I have less chances of hitting 5GHz on the 5960x with anything below DDR4 2800. Again it's overkill I know, but hey why not? (: And I am aware that with 8x8 kit I won't have any room for memory overclocking due to more stress on the controller, so that's why I want the maximum stock frequency as possible.
  • Are you sure you don't want to also look at 4x16GB 3200MHz kits? They'll still run at quad channel (you only need to fill four slots for that)
It's not about aesthetics only. There's the "wow" factor that happens when you max out your memory controller and populate all RAM slots. BS I know, but I'd love to look at my case and see everything there.
  • Inspite of what you might have heard about incompatibility you won't really have issues with using two identical sets of 4x8GB kits if you can find them.
That's an option, if you can assure me that 2 identical Dual Channel kits can work in Quad Channel with no problem.
  • What latencies are you after?
The ones who give me the best performance for that frequency.

Here's an example. They claim that this is designed for Z170 boards. Of course they'll work with X99, but I have my doubts about working at their full capacity. Considering that MSI X99A Godlike supports up to exacly 3400mhz, then that may be a relief. But don't forget that this is a dual channel kit. I don't know yet, but If buying 2 of these will make them work in Quad Channel mode, that would be perfect for me. But again, I don't know if this is possible.

Damn, being a niche market guy is hard. Very hard. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif
