Fallout 4 CrossFire?

Thread Starter
Hi, I CrossFire a 290x and a 290. AMD has been touting their new driver's capability of CrossFire with Fallout 4 but even with the latest game and driver versions there still is no working CrossFire... Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone been able to get CrossFire working for Fallout 4?

Kind of ridiculous that 4 months after one of the biggest releases of 2015 and AMD STILL doesn't have properly working CrossFire drivers...

16.1.1 hotfix and newer should have CF support

I know, my problem is that it doesn't work for me and I'm trying to figure out why. Maybe it's just something with the r9 200 series?

Maybe someone with a similar setup can chime in?

Make sure you are running the game in fullscreen and not windowed borderless. Thats the only way it will turn on, you may have to edit the falloutprefs.ini to force it. I got it working doing that but it doesnt work well at all. FPS boost yes however theres other issues that have come up like massive screen tearing only at 60FPS

Thanks for the suggestion, the game is indeed in fullscreen.
