Zowie FK vs EC (sharp edges)

I decided to try out a zowie mouse so I got an FK1. After 15 minutes with it I found myself unable to use it, because my skin kept getting caught in the tiny gap between my mouse pad and the sharp edge on the mouse when moving it to either side. I really liked the quality and feel of the mouse, so I was mad at myself for not being able to use it. I was looking at the pictures of other zowie mice and found out that the EC series have more rounded edges. I would appreciate if someone who has experience with both mice could confirm that. I want to make sure before I buy the EC2-A, so I don't have to go through all the refund processes again when I find myself having the same problems with it.

I have all the zowies. However I can't relate to your issue. It's most likely your grip and not the mouse itself. Imo there isn't really any sharp edges, for me. If you like the shape of the fk1 I'd look into other mice that are ambidextrous instead of the ec series

I know that the problem is in my grip, so I was thinking ec2-a would better suit it. I had to get the fk1 because it was the only zowie mouse the store had in stock at the time of purchase, now they have all of them so I can choose. Ec2-a was my primary choice, but since it was not available I thought I would give the fk a try. I currently have logitech g303/ rival 100, and I would like something in between the both. I'm mostly ysing the g303 becuase the rival feels too low and the edges couse a bit of pain again for my grip style, but it is nearly not as bad as the fk.

Oh yeah, I remember that, but once I changed my grip back when I had my FK 2013 I had no problem anymore.

This happened a lot when I used to have my wrist entirely on the mousepad with high sensitivity in CS and Quake but for my health I adjusted to a different style... In general my palm just sits much higher than like 2 years or so ago...

Yeah, I have my wrist entirely on the mousepad. I don't think there is any other mouse than g303 that allows such grip. I guess I'll just stick with it ...

Have you tried elevating your arm slightly? I had my desk too high at work and this happened. Lowered it a half centimeter and this stopped happening.
