What clocks do i need to achieve when overclocking the 660m to reach 670m or 680m performance? Tried to google but just cant find what im looking for.

If we're going by cores*frequency as a rough estimation of performance, then 1.5GHz to match a 670M 670MX (960 cores, 600MHz) and 2.52GHz to match a 680M (1344 cores, 720MHz). The 660M is not very fast, running just 384 cores at 835MHz. That doesn't take the bus and backend into account either - the 660M is only 128-bit with 16 ROPs, while the 670M is 50% wider and the 680M is 100% wider.

Sorry thats a bit above my head hahah. I know how to overclock clock speeds and mem ect just not much beyond that. What im looking for is what core and mem clock would i need on my 660m to achieve next level performance. say 670m or 680m

Edit: sorry i didnt see the ghz stuff... derp.

Well i see to have hit my limit. 1250mhz core and 3250 mem, close enough to a 670 for me. gained a good 10-15 fps in fallout 4 and raised fps bottom end by 10. I is happy camper

Actually, I misread. That was a 670MX and not a 670M. (Nvidia's 600 series had quite a few GPUs in it...) The 670M is 1) based on an older Fermi part and 2) would be tied by a 1046MHz 660M. But that doesn't take Kepler's overall gains into consideration, so your 660M ought to be significantly faster at this point.

In other words your GPU is more than one model faster now. Pretty neat.

Running medium settings @ 1080 with all extras turned on and full AA and Anisotropic with a pretty stable 30fps. Sure it drops to 20 sometimes but thats more just certain areas that are poorly optimized im guessing. Doesnt seem to really matter with the game settings to change much in the way of fps though. I tried on all low @ 1080 and was getting maybe 3 or 4 more fps.
