[BUILD LOG] Project MATX #004

Thread Starter
This is my first build log! So forgive me if it seems cheesy or whatever! biggrin.gif

Name of Build: I haven't decide yet

I wanted to originally have a black and white build because of my black case and white GPU but I'm open to changing it except for the white color. I wish to build something white with another color or two for this build.

The first good idea I got from a fellow OCNer is to anodize my ALU case and I was thinking anodizing it in two different colors. maybe Blue and Silver (white). So I was thinking Anodized Blue and Silver (White but not sure if there is a white anodized option) and blue silver, grey and white inside.

SPECS:

Case: Project MATX (Black - subject to a color change if needed)
CPU: Intel I7-4790k - Available
MB: Asus Z97 I-Plus mitx - Available
Ram: 16Gb DDR3 1800 Kingston Hyper Fury X - Available
GPU: Galaxy GTX780Ti HOF - Available
PSU: Silverstone SX-600G / Corsair SF600 ??? (Waiting for reviews)
Fan: 4 x GT-AP15 - Available
Radiator: 2 x EK PE240
CPU Block/Pump: Swiftech Apogee Drive II - Available
GPU Block: EK 780ti HOF acetel white - Available
Backplate: HOF backplate
Reservoir: 100 tube res
Coolant: Mayhem Aurora 2 Blue
Sleeving: Blue, Silver and White Paracord or other
Bitspower White / Blue Fittings - Available
PETG hard tubing - Available

Any suggestions to the color combination is welcome! I was thinking maybe a Green and silver, grey, white would also look good! Not sure... so forgive me if its such a noob to be indicisive with the color scheme

This build will definitely take some time as I have about half of the hardware listed!

Black anodizing would be very cool! White isn't possible due to the size of individual molecules or something like that. Read it awhile ago. Subbed smile.gif

You could try going for a white interior with a black exterior, that would look pretty sweet!

Yeah I did some research and it appears that silver or grey is doable but not white! I may play around with that color!

Thanks! Hmmm I like that idea, I'll try and do some mock ups and see what I come up with!

Yey! Look what got brought in from the post office!

Pardon the potato pics as I don't have my mirrorless anymore to take better pics! redface.gif

1. Replacement main unibody of Project MATX
2. Swiftech Apogee Drive II Block/Pump
3. EK 780Ti HOF block

Tried to capture the text on the white portion of the block

Tried to see if the block had enough of a mirror finish
