Wireless Bluetooth speakers for PC

Thread Starter
I'm looking for some wireless bluetooth speakers for my desktop, mainly because I hate wire clutter.

I was watching the below 'best gaming setup of 2016' video and the speakers the guy uses look perfect

They are JBL Pulse Wireless speakers http://www.amazon.com/JBL-Pulse-Wireless-Speaker-Black/dp/B00F8JEJKK/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1453118648&sr=1-2&keywords=JBL+Pulse&linkCode=sl1&tag=randomfrankp-20&linkId=6c6050c15f1bafe9e2d507c3fbb73dc3

Anyone has any experience with these speakers. How would you connect bluetooth speakers to a Desktop PC, guess I need a bluetooth dongle? Anything I should look out for?

I watched that video and it gave me a good laugh. Spent tons on hardware and then bought some of the cheapest budget oriented peripherals and audio out there.

Anyway, I would not buy those speakers. Basically anything bluetooth is made to last few hours, not sound that great, and just be slightly better than a phone speaker on the go.

You have a pretty nice rig and it would be a shame to skimp on audio with a portable phone speaker. You may as well just use the onboard speakers on your monitor if you don't care about the quality and just want sound without added wires. That same price range would buy you something like Senheiser 558's and be infinitely better.

Aside from that, you would still need to buy a bluetooth adapter for your motherboard to use them.

There's a setting in Gmail that does what you are seeing. Undo that setting.

Thanks for the advice. I have some Bose QC 25 headphones for when actively need to listen to my computer sound (can be noisy where I live). The speakers are mostly for watching youtube/Twitch. The speakers in the Asus monitor are **** and volume is too low for Twitch so was looking for something better that looked cool to boot.

I am building a desk and could probably mount the speakers on the backboard behind my monitor with cables hidden, but no space for those huge boom boxes and would need something in that case that is easy to fix to a wall & small and can plug straight into my computer. Would be happy to spend 200/300 for something decent. Any tips in that case? I always liked Bose stuff because it looks cool.
