Steam and Origin Sale Discussion Thread. Because paying Full price for a game is so 1950s...

OCN is the number one platform that I trust and though there are specific sale threads for a specific event I just could not find one in general.

I usually do not buy full priced games anymore, and always look for sales. And not every game on sale has a thread on it's own nor it might not be ideal to start for an "is xxxx game worth it" thread every time.

So basically the point of this thread is to give your opinions about games that are currently on sale in Steam or Origin (other platforms are also welcomed)...

RULES

First rule of the Sale Discussion Thread is that we do not talk about the Sale Discussi..... I mean we do not talk about full priced games. mad.gif
Second rule of the Sale Discussion Thread is that the sale should be at least 1/3 off the original price. No lousy 10% pre order sale discussions. tongue.gif

So let me start by asking about Black Ops 3...

I am asking this question specifically to the people who enjoy COD series. I know there are haters out there. Is it worth it compared to other COD games? I used to play Advanced Warfare on PS4 and actually enjoyed the game. Is this a better version or am I ok to pass on it and wait for another installment.

Currently it is on a 33%sale. If it was 50% I would buy it right away I guess.

Personally, I did not like Advanced Warfare and barely played it. I do however enjoy Black Ops 3 and think it is worth it. Of course, I have enjoyed all of the Black Ops CODs.

I did enjoy the Black Ops 1 and 2 tbh. I will give the multiplayer pack a shot in that case. I can always upgrade it later to the full game.

I was curious about BO3 too, but talked myself down because I already have about 3 FPS games I haven't even touched yet and The Division will be using up most of my spare time for the next... who knows?

Get the multiplayer starter pack if you want. Its just the online portion of the game minus the zombies.

Story about my Uncle is on a 85% sale... Grab it guys. It is a very very cool game.

So I grabbed COD BO3 via the sale. I like the game but I guess after all these years they still did not go for Dedicated Servers?

I might retire the game before hitting level 55 due to this unfortunately. When I watch the kill cam of my death I swear I am hitting the guy instead of 30 meters around him

Anyhow. Democracy 3 is on a 66% sale. Anybody ownes it? That game is on my wishlist for sometime but still undecided.

Thanks for the suggestion! I really like the game so far and it's been quite challenging to get the fluidity of movement down. I'll probably play through this game a few times to see if I can master it biggrin.gif

That's part of the reason why I've still not pulled the trigger on MP starter.

Never heard of Democracy 3. It doesn't seem like my type of game, so I can't really comment. The reviews are mixed... You could buy it and add it to your dusty Steam shelf of "maybe some day" games.

Yep, Story about my uncle is really a hidden gem. I love that game and others should try it. Game relaxes me and challanges me at times which is great.

I mean I WANT to love the COD games as I have no problems with them besides the stupid non dedicated servers thing. I never have these issues with Battlefront nor Titanfall.

I used to play a game in 90s where you would be a president of a country, make friends with others and nuke them. I believe that game was called Democracy and I believe this is a continuation of it. I will probably pick it up and see for myself redface.gif

Mordheim City of Damned also looks cool but I will probably wait when it is 75% off instead of 50%.
