Good luck on finding one for less than a retail price. They are way above retail these days.

Less than retail price was mostly referring to the possibility of someone having a haswell cpu motherboard combo. Too many times I find people selling 2 year old stuff for retail or above and it's ridiculous.

EDIT: I might be trying for RMA through gigabyte but that's another story in itself.

Mobos die out of warranty period > less mobos available > higher prices.
Intel CPUs are almost bullet proof and so there is an inequality of hardware available, less mobos, more cpus.
Supply and demand =(

I completely get that, my main gripe is with people selling stuff for over retail that is otherwise still available in stores for retail or sale price or that has just recently sold out. I see it all the time for graphics cards on this site and others, people selling 750tis for $5 less than what you can get it for on the egg or other retailer. anyway, this is rather off topic for potentially solving my issue but I appreciate your input. smile.gif

I don't know where you saw a retail Z77 for sale lately, I have not seen them for over a year in retail.
