[PCPer] PC Gaming Shakeup: Ashes of the Singularity, DX12 and the Microsoft Store - Page 14

So, let me get it straight, Nvidia’s counter to AMD’s Dx12 lead is to encourage its customers to stay on Win8/Win7, and hope that enough customers do that, while blaming all GFE/G-Gsync (and whatever other proprietary carp it came up with) problems on Microsoft, until such time that Nvidia can catch up with AMD.. lol. Or try and take on MS directly, by encouraging its customers to move to vulkan? [or whatever it’s called] so it can continue to provide its customers with 8-12 month of optimizations while giving 15% performance bump for an upgrade… lachen.gif This is too funny, you can make this stuff up, I am still laughing.... lol

I hope I'm not understanding this. So all DX12 games will be locked to 60fps??? Are you ******* kidding me? What kind of nonsense is this. I can not and will not game at 60hz anymore. That **** is not going to happen. If a game can not support over 60fps I am simply not buying it. I don't care if its the greatest game of all time I can;t go back to 60hz. If Vulkan needs to take the reigns I pray to god it happens.

I thought DX12 was going to be the bees knees??!??! Have you lost your godamn mind MS?

Are they going to be locked to 60fps and 60Hz or can you play at 60fps @ 120Hz? I mean out of all possible things, 60fps lock isn't the worst, considering plenty (if not most) games have that.

sounds like a plan to me

have fun on your console pc and w10

you can have your 5 fps more and console features I will stick to dx11 for the next few months(way more probably) at the very least.

there is nothing to catch up too in dx12 it has not one visual feature that's new at this point....it means all diddly squat ...if anything nv has more features that we as pc users like.
its more then just fixed frame rates
sometimes gamers just have to get there heads out of ms's lap you know?

I hope Microsoft f*ck things up and Vulkan comes and saves the day.

Tell that to the developers, when Nvidia would have to dish out even more cash to keep them incented against Microsoft and AMD.

And, I have no idea what that mean? Is this an NVidia term for its own customers when Nvidia proudly proclaims they OPEN UP (wallets presumably? but not sure) without asking questions?

Read the article linked in the first post of this thread. There is detailed explanation on how it is as it currently stands (based on select few DX12 supporting titles out currently) and some speculation (because no one is willing to talk under their own name in this regard) why.
