Greetings from Sweden!

Thread Starter
Greetings all!

I've been a lurker here at OCN for some time now, prior to my account so I thought it was time for a proper introduction.

My name is Danny, I've been into PC's since my very first machine, an IBM Model 70, complete with a Model M keyboard that I was given in the mid 90's. After that and at just a mere 10 years of age, I was pretty much hooked on technology, tinkering and modding and have loved working with PC's ever since. I work as a video editor and colorist for a small post-production outfit, as well as a Hardware Tech for a local business. I love gaming, which is the sole purpose of my current build, and play a variety of genres, ranging from RPG's to Action/Adventure games. I also enjoy some racing sims too.

My first custom PC was built back in 2002 with a 500MHz (550MHz OC) Slot 1 Intel Pentium III on an ASUS P2B-S with 64MB SDRAM a 3dfx Voodoo 5 5500, Creative Sound Blaster 16, 2GB Western Digital Caviar 22100 and Windows 98. Quite a monster for its time.

I upped my game in 2008 and built a full water cooled system around an Intel Q9550 (3.54GHz OC) on an ASUS Striker II Extreme, with 4GB DDR2 RAM, x3 Nvidia GTX280's for 3-way SLI, Creative Fatal1ty X-Fi, 1TB RAID and Windows Vista. Vista... ugh... Moving on...

I left the PC market in 2010 when my current work prompted me to make the switch to the Apple Mac Pro. As nice as the machine was, I really missed having a completely custom PC that I could do pretty much anything I wanted with. I rejoined the PC market in early 2016 with my current Skylake build (which you can see in my signature) and realised that I had missed all the fun these 6 years, although things have certainly moved on a lot since then! This time though, I am definitely back to stay thumb.gif

Here is a couple of images of my current system. I wanted to go full out with a custom water loop which would have made things much tidier, but I opted for convenience of AIO's. In the future, I may install my own loop on to the hardware which will tidy things up considerably. wink.gif

Anyway, intros out the way with, I'll see you in the forum!
