Do we think Directx 12 will take advantage of MANY cpu cores

Curious what your thoughts all are,

I have been hearing that DX12 will better take advantage of many cpu cores but I am wondering if we have seen any indication on how many cores it will really take advantage of?

I am running dual E5-2670s (8c/16t each) in my system currently so I am wondering if DX12 will be a nice boost for me. Right now in most games most of my cores are not doing much (I use the system for other things as well but it would be nice to get a gaming boost)

Thoughts?

Time will tell....DX10 was suppose to revolutionize the gaming industry but was more of a fart in the wind. It's still the infancy stage so it could one day use all the cores you can throw at it, but look how long it took for them to go from using 2 cores to 4 cores in gaming. I wager it will all depend on how hard it is for devs to use DX12 and what limitations they run into.

I guess they have made some major leaps on a few emulators using DX12 so it seems to have promise. I'm on the "not buying W10" bandwagon at the moment but if it's a massive gain and emulators start porting over for improved FPS I might buy a copy for an offline gaming PC.
