[MSI K8N 7185 + Athlon x64 3000+] Unable to reach higher overclocks

Hey guys,
I've recently got my hands on a K8N board and wanted to try it out (oldschool FTW). Unfortunately I can't seem to get it past a certain OC level, even though I'm trying whatever I can and I know people have reached much more with similar setups. I suspect my RAM configuration (BIOS) to be the issue, but I don't know how to fix it.
RAM - 256MB, sticker says 266MHz, stock speed (as displayed in POST) is 200MHz.
CPU ratio is x9, FSB can't get past 220MHz with RAM manually set to 166MHz (actual RAM speed is then 183MHz), otherwise it doesn't POST.
BIOS settings: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Can anybody help me? smile.gif

drop HT to 4x and try again or try an 8x mulitplier

Setting HT to x4 allowed me to do 230MHz FSB max, x3 gave me another 5MHz and then it was not posting again. Setting multiplier to x8 didn't help at all.

Add some voltage to the cpu try 3.3 % or drop the multiplier a couple notches.

What is the exact ram that you have?

Probably have to run higher voltage to the north bridge * nforce voltage??* it's been a while.

EDIT: good utility for windows overclocking ( XP ) http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=189

Ive gotten 305 mhz + out of similar msi boards. http://hwbot.org/submission/2243485_cssorkinmanocn_memory_clock_ddr_sd_ram_305_mhz

Voltage on CPU was increased to 1.4V and I even added 0.05V to RAM. I'll try the utility, it might just work smile.gif
