The EKWB experience

My experience with EK and PPC in a nutshell. Now this is my personal experience. Obvious alot have had great experiences, (ive heard horror stories with PPC been a long time customer with them from my buisness) If your a new customer Id look to some other places first my first time with aquatuning and aquacomputer and Fenske and Sven has been overwhelmingly amazing. Ill take fault when i know Ive done something wrong, i bought a EKWB block recently nickle/plexi and it cracked, didn't go blaming them, went to go buy a new top, 2 of them actually not once asking for an RMA or telling them it was their fault, i over tightened it like a donut, THAT was a user error. If you go look at my thread about buildup in my res on my very first personal water cooling rig (done many for others) IM VERY CAREFUL about laying blame on others products

^did turn out to be user error in a way, i shouldve flushed their radiator regardless of the fact that they say they flush them prior to packaging because they dont flush them very well, so their coolant is solid as a rock as for all i know.

So when i say i know i didnt do anything wrong, ive ruled out ive done absolutely nothing wrong in every way possible. So you know im not flinging mud...but enough is enough, this isn't mud this is an honestly bad experience with EKWB and PPC.

EDIT: I do want to acknowledge in my message to PPC about my first shattered res they sent me that i told them i totally thought it could have been Fedex's fault, in fact it most likely was because FedEx is terrible in my area and i paid for insurance on the shipping. However they never responded to it, and never fixed the situation. But this is more so about the second res situation in how PPC and EKWB are collaborating in not RMAing the second res deeming it my fault ON TOP of everything else being the final straw.

Edited again: For the fairness of PPC as they do MANY things right among the few things they could do much better I'm going to reiterate that i believe the problem of the first res is a fault of shipping, and had no tampering or mishandling in the packaging/handling process on PPCS end, i am purely disappointed in their failure to even respond to an insured delivery, and then have this happen.

I don't know what's happened to EK, this past year was a mess for them with a lot of problems. They put out a lot of good products, but it just seems like every couple of months another defective product rears it's head. They are still my favorite, but the more posts I see the more wary I get.

As far as PPCS, they're sort of the only game in town with the vast selection they have, so we don't have much choice unfortunately.

I dont know what to say anymore man, im so much money in the hole its best i take a break from the internet to keep myself from saying stupid things that make me look like an idiot or just a hot headed fool with little intelligence. After my predator incident ive become like a masochist just going back to EKWB for more hoping they would be that best water cooling company everyone says they are, only to get more pain and lose more money.

PPCS idk what is happening but they slipped up big time sending me a shattered res, now not RMAing this one, Ive found aquatuning to be a godsend though.

I gotta go let off some steam, i cant be on here i just needed to get my honest experience out there while i still had a level head. Ive lost serious amounts of money and recieved no help and most the blame (on this instance so far) when im very careful myself about laying blame and usually put the blame on myself first.

Dear Saintruski,

looking at your situation, having problems with Predator, X4 res and Radiators I don't blame you for letting off some steam. I would do the same. We had quite unfortunate year with several product issues, we admit that collectively and our return policies have been relaxed quite a lot to make sure customers who did experience the problems can at least get the issues sorted out as painless as possible. Regarding the case with X4 Res, after reading your messages I asked about the situation and you are right, it was not your fault and I have instructed our guys to handle it accordingly. I asked also for redesign taking into account your case.

FYI, we also changed a lot of internal processes and even suppliers in order to improve in this respect in 2016. All in all, I still hope you will give us another chance sometime in the future. Looking at how many products we launched on the market I would still think most of them are top quality and perform above expectations. It's really unfortunate that you had to experience so many bad things due to us.

In the end, I am confident that your RMAs will all be closed in your favor in the end. Not because you posted your frustration here, but because we do care about our products - if they perform and how customers are satisfied with them. I have been signing off a lot of damages claims last few weeks for the Predator after we sorted out the process with the insurance company. Sorry it took so much time, but believe me when I tell you that this recall was a logistic and legal nightmare to deal with. In the end I think our team did all they could not to let anybody down.

I will try to respond as best as i can as busy as i am at this very moment, i will surely edit this to be better and not be so rambly and incoherent.

First off, after gathering myself id like to give apologies if it all came off as me trying to get something from you, or an attempt to force your hand, i just wanted my experience to be known as i feel its in the best interest of future customers. Second i am sorry if it all came across angry, or mean, I'm sure my last couple emails did and possibly seem threatening and I'm certainly sorry for those, you must understand its not easy losing a couple thousand starting with the predator and then continue with the problems of other products of the same company. I understood the risk of the predator as in any other AIO but the problems from there continued as all i heard was praise for EKWB from everyone and it kinda just stung like "why me and why my wallet," and the heat of the moment may have taken over a bit initially.

All this over I'm quick pick up my pieces and find my center and realize its time to move on from EKWB for time time being once i get everything straightened out. Am i one to say no one should buy (your) EKWB products because of my experience, God no, that is also not my goal here... from all the happy satisfied users and the performance in the charts numbers don't lie they are the best at cooling, but for me it has been a severe let down and would recommend others. Like all the good cases i feel like bad cases should have their voices heard too. I say all this in the nicest way possible. Maybe i decided to purchase from you guys in the very middle of catastrophe and expansion and that is something that should be considered. I'm sure i will come back and purchase your products again in the future and revise all this as one of the many very satisfied customers, granted I'm out of this financial hole I'm in now, but for now this has been my personal experience.

I'm glad to hear you, your company and your team are making advances in fixing your hardware, processes, and getting things straightened out. Best of wishes to you, your team, and EKWB.
