Can you also try disabling C state and EIST in your BIOS and flipping the CAP switch. Let me know if either help in your email.

EDIT: For sorting please put "Gaming 7 audio issue" in the subject!

appreciate the help!
just fired off an email to you, hopefully we can figure it out

I'll send you what I know about this issue. I learned everything I know about fixing it from this thread. Bojamijams' suggestions were the ones I found most helpful.

ETA: looking back Jojoman and Weble also have some good contributions that helped me.

Email is now sent

That is correct to my knowledge of reading manuals. Makes my headphones crazy loud even with my resistor in place. Def need 600ohm cans for it to be on high (to the right)

I don't think that switch has anything to do with the issue. For one, it is the headphone amp which has its own dedicated output. I am not using that output. When I switched to speakers I was still experiencing this issue so I don't think it has anything to do with it.

I agree just makes your headphones louder and I forgot you had issues with the speaker jack as well. I can confirm the PAX driver so far over the past few weeks has been rock solid. No idea what the heck he did but its working no issues even with sound enhancements

Quick update for everyone -

Our team has thus far been unable to reproduce the issue. If the engineers can't reproduce it, they can't fix it. Our CS team is going to start reaching out to the people who have already emailed me to try and get a board in-house they can reproduce the issue on.

TL;DR We haven't forgot you guys, we're still working on it smile.gif

Appreciate the update Matthew, my board has been rock solid since I threw on the PAX driver. Ill revert back and see if I can make it happen again

I've been solid with the Pax driver for about a week now as well. However, I was stable for about a week or two by not using the Creative software and my issue still came back, so I will give this a try for a month before I make any conclusions. If it comes back I will send the e-mail.

BTW, I am 90% sure it is a Creative driver issue. They are known to write crap drivers.

Thank you for the update.

In the meantime, would you mind recommending the engineers download the PAX driver and do a Diff-Compare against the RC2 drive you have on the website?

They can look at the changes the PAX author has made and deduce from that if something he did could fix a potential bug.
