What are folks choosing for CPU coolers?

I am between a NH-U9S and the Dark Rock TF.

About the only review I can find but looks like an open air test bench....

Kinda feel like with a 2nd 92mm fan on the N9 and the 2x 120mm in the front you will get a better airflow setup going than having a top exhaust..

I went with the Dark Rock TF because it seems it will be great for overclocking and it looks great.

I'm torn between a Noctua NH-C14s with some of their grey redux fans or going with a 240mm EK Pred unit. I picked up an EK water block for my 980 Strix for $29 from amazon.

I'll be using an EK Supremacy Acetal/Nickel, I'm going full custom loop in my BH7.

I am slightly annoyed at the extra wait though, I placed my order on the 6th for a Black/White BH7 and unless I am remembering it favorably, I'd bet I was in the first few to place an order biggrin.gif

I would of appreciated the knowledge that you processed your case orders based on colour rather than the time the order was placed before I placed my order, I'd of gone black instead for speedier delivery. Now I know though, should I decide to purchase any future cases to accompany my S5, SMA8 and BH7 biggrin.gif

Well since I've gone a little spend happy this month(also building a server) I'm going to stick with my Corsair H100i for now and maybe in a couple of months I'll move to an air cooler.

Was caught a little off guard that I'm going to have to wait for my Tangerine BH2 but it will be all the sweeter when it gets here. If I knew then what I know now I probably would've ordered the same thing.

I'm going with the NH-U9S with a second fan and 2x 120mm case fans (behind a filter). Just waiting for the BH4 to arrive. Not sure what to do about the top vents - block off or leave open? An overall front-to-back airflow configuration for the case (instead of a of a top-down cooler) seemed like a reasonable plan to me. But then again, this will be the first system I've built so I could be completely wrong.

This is exactly what I was planning too. I was going to leave the top vent open for starters, but may consider lining the interior and block the top vent with noise absorption foam if too much noise is getting out of the case.

Most likely the Cryorig C1 with a 25mm fan on top instead of the included slim fan, blowing up out the top vents!

EDIT: Although, the Noctua C-14S seems to also be a good choice, with 2x 25mm fans blowing up, it's 142mm high…

(I just don't think I can do the Dark Rock TF. Think it's kinda fugly. wink.gif

Another air cooler option is the M9 from Cryorig that is 125mm high.
