[Crossover 27V & 27100Q & 27 Fast 144]: 27" Matte 60, 100 & 144hz 1440p AHVA with Free-Sync - Page 11

Hmm sounds good then, tho i still kinda wish someone measured the response time of this panel, according to tft central 6.94ms (tracefree 80) is needed for optimal 144hz on the mg279q which i think uses the same panel as the 27 fast.

So I watched review of the Ganjidog and at 6:30 it shows 144hz, do I take it as OC? Can't understand what he's saying tho... smile.gif

esdit: Asked crossover on facebook, they test screens at 144. The ganjidog is 120hz+ monitor. By their standards.

Played a little with the colour format from the nvidia driver (output to my 27Fast 144) and somehow found they look a bit better on YCbCr444 than RGB.
I'm using a 7500K temp from the monitor's osd since I like a little cooler colours.
Still didn't calibrate them and I wonder if anyone does it.

What is the advantage to the 27 Fast 144 over the MG279Q? The small price difference? $448.80 for this monitor from dream seller or I can get the MG279Q for $500 from b&h photo. Anybody ever tried both?

They both use the same panel, so they should be pretty similar. If the MG279Q was $600 instead of $500, I would say it was worth the savings getting the Crossover. But since they're so close, I'm not so sure.

The bezel on the crossover is a disaster imo. I'd much rather have the plain black bezel of the MG279Q. I'm done with monitors that have absurd bezels...

Hi guys, so just purchased a crossover 27V from dream-seller, thanks to all the pointers on this thread and others. I'm upgrading from a 15.6" 1080p laptop, so it's going to be a slight change for me. Fortunately my 2 year old threw water on the laptop and the motherboard died so I now have an excuse to build me a new system. Hopefully the look of the crossovers meets the expectation of the photos. I'm importing into Switzerland so import is only 8%, I'll let you all know how it goes, plus over locking, backlights etc.

Just created an account for this thread.

Looking into getting a Korean monitor and i am not sure between the Qnix 2710 and the 27V.
Would buy the 27V, if the Freesync range was 75-35 or something similar.

I read the hole 11 pages and FreeSync range overclocking was mentioned multiple times, but no numbers were said. Maybe someone can post their numbers?

Thank you thumb.gif

Unfortunately I will be using mine with a 970. So no freesync.
