Which one? The Fast 144 is a real 144hz (you can set the resolution from your videocard control panel (144 on dp only, 120 on both dp and hdmi) and it does not skip frames.

How's the backlight bleed and IPS glow on these? The main reason I've returned several other IPS 144hz monitors is due to those issues, and with refund policy being not as easy with getting one of these on eBay, I'm hoping these have a much better track record.

OK so my 27v arrived 2 days ago, customs added value to the product (an extra $100 or so) so tax was higher but I will dispute this as I have both the eBay and PayPal transactions.

I bought the "perfect" version as it was only an extra $15. So far I have not done too much testing as I am building my computer. However out of the box had 0 dead/ bright pixels and minimal backlight bleed. ( it is noticeable only in the corners when all lights are off and realistically the brightness was set too high. I will do a full setup of colours before taking some more pics)

General condition of the unit was near perfect, only a light scuff on one of the aluminium legs and a single fingerprint in the top corner.

My Apple TV plugs into the HDMI no probs and shows a great picture. It actually looks better as 720p instead of 1080p, I suspect as 720p translates to 1440p with no pixel stretching.
I hope to complete my PC build over the weekend but I'm still awaiting my graphics card. So not sure how much overclocking I can do with Intel on board graphics.

Will update with photos and a full review once done.

I just recieved the 27VIPS FREEDOM.. In perfect time for Freedom day. I paid the extra ~20$ for the "perfect" edition from green-sum on ebay. No messed pixels. I returned the Viewsonic XG2401 144z gaming monitor to Amazon, because I wasn't happy with the overall gamma and contrast despite the nice refresh rate and freesync. Although it was not a bad monitor at all, I wanted something with a bit higher scale that would do 1440p and > 60hz refresh rate. I considered the 144hz quick too, but saved the cash.

I can tell you that the 27VIPS is just sick.. 1440p at 27 inches is epic in gaming and if you see the screenshot on the top of message, you'll notice I chose a deep black background. I can't see a lick of any backlight bleed and the contrast is highly impressive (no calibration done, right out of box). The form factor is awesome, with the gunmetal/black brushed bezels and metal stand.

I'm going to use Radeon settings to try an overclock to 75hz. I'm using a 7870 GPU now (planning on getting an RX 480 or GTX 1070 in a few days) so I can report on refresh/freesync OC soon. That said, I'd highly recommend this thing thus far.

We need some response time measurements on these. I'm hoping they can achieve 7ms response times?? Do they have overdrive?

I just got my "perfect" 27V yesterday and it has no stuck or dead pixels. A little bleed on top right corner and the frame isn't as solid as my Dell or BenQ, it seems fragile. Really happy with it though. I will test freesync later.

How much overclock room is there for the 27v? I've read that some 2795 crossover goes bad after overclocking.

I don't have my setup atm so I can't test FreeSync and overclock yet.
