That's tempting. I really want to get an IPS monitor soon, at this point with the RMAs and returns I've had to do I just want it to work, I don't care about G-Sync, super mega overclock, etc. I just want a 1440p IPS with more than 60hz.

These are promising, but only if they use a different panel than the Acer and Asus which I have had horrible luck with.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crossover-27-FAST-144-27-2560x1440-144Hz-WQHD-AH-VA-PIB-/231946383482?hash=item360114f07a:g:5VAAAOSwboVXOWpn

So is this monitor good as opposed to the overclocking monitor?

It comes guaranteed at 144Hz (right?), better monitor "case" for only £40~ more.

Is this too good to be true or is it a great deal?

I don't know what to tell, take your chances
I bought this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222074533937?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Paying even more with the right conversion, ~£342 (paypal) and I still have to pay for the customs charges, If I'd only knew about it (or better say, inform myself properly prior buying it) I'd have bought an used ROG Swift PG279Q with the g-sync rolleyes.gif

Now I'll have to see what to do with my 980 ti, waiting for the "new" nvidia driver level Fast-Sync, "hoping for the best but expecting the worst" smile.gif
[and that's a new AMD upcoming P10 XT or Vega vga in order to use the Crossover's freesync]

Hey I know this thread kind of slowed down, and you had asked a few days before this if anyone was still following this thread. I'm definitely still following this thread, and looking for others, so it'd be great to hear your experience with this monitor so far (assuming it has arrived by now). Thanks.smile.gif

Guys, I'm "playing" with the monitor in the both ways, since a couple of days and I can say I expected a little more from it.
Let me be straight, the overall quality didn't 100% convinced me but it's really light, you can hold it with two fingers and this is not bad, also the lack of a pivot it could be evident for some.
Another (maybe the worst at all) issue is its backlight bleeding / glow, tried to remove the plastic back cover and there were no other screws around the panel, after I've mount it back without strengthening the screws harder "it seems" is showing a little less glow, I'll definitely have to get used to it.
Everything else is OK, all the monitor tests are good, non dead pixels or stuck pixels, no lag or stuttering, gaming at 144hz is nice, way better than at 60hz, I've even done a bit of gaming with the previous drivers on v-sync off (in game) playing the last Tomb Raider and with a framerate over 60 (up to 85-90) I didn't notice any tearing nor stuttering at all.
Now I'm using the Fast Sync and is even better, completely smooth and it won't go over 144 fps ever (just tried to see with the Dying Light on 1080p and balanced graphics just for testing and it was locked on 144 fps) cool.gif

The colours are nice, a little "less" brilliant I was expecting but maybe it's just a matter of getting used to, swapping from my old Q27-Led P (apple cinema display quality) IPS glossy Panel to this one made some difference but I still need to calibrate the rgb somehow. thinking.gif
They're better than the Asus PG278Q I've tested for a couple of days and then re-sold it.
Also the ag coating is OK and not as grainy intensive as the PG278Q.

The speakers are only of a discrete audio but who really cares.
The remote is one extra free thing, obviously good only for the quick osd settings.

I have to find a way to calibrate the colours, on Standard (picture mode) at these values: 200-200-205 (maximum value is 255)

Has anyone used this model? I was about the go with the 2795, but I would love to get this one with the thin bezel, assuming it does OC as advertised. But I thought that generally speaking only the single input models could OC without dropping frames, am I mistaken? I know I read in one of the threads here that *some* of the qx2710 Evolution II multi-input models can OC, is it possible this monitor is like that as well?

I know you can't trust everything these sellers post on ebay, especially when they have been known to reuse older popular model names, like the Q270, even when it's not really the same model. But I am curious, because green-sum is the official Crossover distributor, so I would think that maybe at least that seller would be telling the truth.

Hmmm has anyone tried the crossover 27 fast? Does it have overdrive settings/ocd?
How's the motion blur on the 144hz ips compared to tn?

kinda torn between it and the mg279q for 1000sek more when counting customs.

Except for a little glow or bleeding (maybe it's just average or a bit above average) is running just fine, it doesn't have any blur (I didn't notice) however it doesn't have any overdrive settings on the osd.
It has a lot of settings but not the overdrive.
It looks great on gaming even without using the Freesync, on a nvidia 980ti and on framerate even at 60-80 like in the division or others you won't notice any tearing, stuttering or lag.
The new nvidia v-sync feature, Fast sync seems to run even better thumb.gif
