Build Log: Aquity Enhanced; CaseLabs SMA8

Thread Starter
Welcome Back! My name is SteezyTN and I really wanted to update and create a new Build log for my current build. The case is a CaseLabs SMA8 in two tone (gunmetal grey and black).

I'm getting tired of the way the tubing is, so while I'm on spring break, I will try and get away from studying and work on my build.

I'll be updating this thread over the course of time.

Here's what my build currently looks like.

Subbed, I love the SMA8. Definitely a great idea redoing the build log. I actually have been thinking about doing the same... I stopped updating my original build log last year.

So I really wanted to start doing stuff to the build, but I just didn't have time due to school studies and very important exams that are coming up soon.

My main goal was to fix all the toubing with PETG (which is what's already in there, but get rid of the soft) and route it to were its unique.

However, I've decided to wait because I really want to remove the pump combos, and switch to a dual D5 top. I would most likely use the XSPC Photon 270 reservoirs in the top compartment.

Dual d5 top would be slick. I'm currently using two separate d5's in series... Wish I had the EK dual top.

I'm trying to get my hands on that dual d5 top, but they EOL'd it. I was originally going with that when they had them in stock, but decided on the pump combo.

I've thought about that, but I kind of want more of EK. I'm hoping the will start selling the revo dual without the pumps. I currently have three pumps, where one of them is using the single revo D5.

Very understanding. Hopefully EK listens and brings back the separate pump tops.

Hi there, I have been following along with your last build and your comments on the water cooling gallery thread. quick question, are you officially abandoning your older Log?

If I could make a suggestion? Before you start redoing everything, draw it out, and post it here. That way you can get some feed back on what you're planning on and maybe some ideas as well.

I was trying to figure out why your dual loop wasn't working out, it surprised me that adding a third pump solved your temperature problem. It means there is a flow issue, either a blockage or a high amount of resistance. If you make a drawing, take a picture of your rig like in your avatar, and drop it in paint and trace out the route you plan to make.

I really think your dual loop can work, and with the amount of rad space you have, it should be more then possible. If you post prototypes of your routes before you make them, we may be able to help you troubleshoot issues before they happen.
