My new STH10 build - Page 3

Ok. Since my last update I've been waiting for some new parts to arrive. Today I received more tubing , another Aquaero d5, and a Bitspower X-station. My first thoughts. The X-station was bigger then I expected and I did not like the way it mounted. My plan was to put it the lower compartment with the second pump. I realized that it would be tighter then I liked so I decided to make some modifications. With that, i was able to mount the X-Station and pump in the lower compartment, and still have enough room to work with the other hardware in that compartment as needed. I also sleeved the Aquaero's power cable. Hopefully tomorrow I can get back to the plumbing.

jsutter71,

Subbed. thumb.gif

I just have to see this with coolant flowing and the lights on. drool.gif If you can spare the time I'd love to see temps, fan speeds and a few bench marks. All that space is filled. wink.gif

With three 980tis just a wee but curious why you opted to forego the mono block for this mother board? I may be a day late and a dollar short on that question as I am unsure which Mobo that block is for, i.e. the first of second iteration.

Still pouring over your parts list. Very useful and appreciated. I've had the hots for this mother board for a long time so any thoughts on selection and application would be valued also.

Cheers,

Mad Monk

Prior to this current build, I has all of these same parts in my TJ11. Aside from the CPU being cooled by a Intel closed loop water cooler, everything else was air cooled. I had a temperature sensor directly underneath the middle GPU and it never got above 93 degrees F. That was during stress tests. I just don't think it's needed. The other reason is that a monoblock might limit access to the M.2 slot.

jsutter71,

Thank you!

That was some very useful information. Never did a monoblock before and was going off of posts in another thread. The school of been there done that trumps unsupported posts. Just to be 100% sure I understand this; the MOSFETs were okay too? If yes, this opens up a few options. thumb.gif

A favor please. I cannot find a link to your TJ11 build. redface.gif

This build is hitting all my hot buttons. Start with a CaseLabs case. Add the mother board I covet. On it is a chip I was thinking about, same amount of RAM, RAM made by who I wanted to use, the same GPUs, the same NVMe, and it is water cooled. specool.gif

Cheers,

Mad Monk

Well I ultimately abandoned that build because the TJ11 wasn't able to provide the space I needed for my hardware.

Finished all the plumbing and most of the wiring in the main compartment. I'll be done with this build soon.

Just a weekend update. I made some new power cables for my Aqua computer equipment. I am almost completed all the plumbing except that I ran out of compression fittings. I placed a quick order so as soon as I get them this week I'll be finished. I need to make 4 Aquabus cables which I'll so this week. I should be finished with this build by next week.
