Do you think turning mouse off with the On/Off switch every time its not in use, PC off or even small breaks/AFK, will matter to the battery life or it is so small it mostly likely won't matter in the long run?
Also should i turn it off even when its connected but PC is off the power? Does it matter?

When I first had the mouse I used to turn it off every time I got AFK for more than 1-2h. One day I got lazy and since then I leave it as is. Haven't noticed any worse battery life,

As Maximillion said, just use the mouse, you won't notice a difference. You might even save yourself the hassle of RMAing because a worn off switch wink.gif

I let it charge to 100% - remove off wire - wait until it gets anything below 10% and charge it back up for 2 hrs. Good to go again.

G900 does a good job going into sleep mode to conserve battery life that you don't need to use the power on/off button when not in use. I wouldn't turn this off unless I was going away on vacation or something.

Yesterday I was about to jump on Overwatch and battery was at 5% so I played on wire for 2 hrs while it charged back up.

My Steelseries Sensei Raw died after 3 years of intensive use and im looking for a replacement. The G900 is an option and now that some people here have had this mouse for a few months I want to ask them some questions, if you dont mind.

Dust and dirty:
My roomate bought a G502 3 months ago and its a very hard mouse to clean because there is a lot of edges and corners where the dust and dirty just build up. In the G900 the gap between the back of the mouse and the buttons really worry me because its a very narrow and deep area, seems very hard to keep it clean. Also, my hands sweat a lot, I have to clean my mouse every 2 or 3 days to keep it in good condition.
Using the search i found a user complaining about that, and returning the mouse, he was tired of cleaning the mouse everyday because of the dust. So the question is: ¿is really hard to clean months of dirty at it seems?

Battery:
I know the official numbers and I hope that it last me at least 5 years, but if the battery fails in 3 years i dont know what I'd do. I have been searching in the official Logitech Support but i cannot find a replacement battery for this mouse. Im considering the G900 for its performance and wireless. Using the wire if the battery dies is a big no no for me so its important to be able to replace the battery if it fails. ¿Is there any official way to do it or you have to do it yourself once the warranty is over?

Regards.

If you live in a dusty area, which is common when it's Not filtered and Airconditioned 24/7, you will instead be better off covering your G900 like what I do. Use a dry linen cloth because it's dust free and after a few months, easy to wash and re-use.

Also cover your whole mouse pad too to avoid your dead skin and dust particles settling upon the surface when you're not there.

Have not swapped out the battery because I use my G900 fully tethered hence can't tell you about battery usage as I never bought this mouse to use as a wireless device. Wanted only the shape BECAUSE it is the ONLY current made Logitech mouse, that suits my right hand perfectly.

Yeah one issue I got now is that with the hard pad it doesn't track as well because of the LOD. The LOD needs to be raised but all the surface tuner can do is lower it; so the hard pad is only usable on the factory default setting but it still bugs out every now and again, if the tuner was just a simple raise/lower LOD then this would be fixed in a second; also tried logitechs hard pad setting and it just made the mouse stop tracking all together on the hard surface

edit: Only occurs on very fast swipes with lifts, tracks fine just saying it's not 100% consistent cause of LOD (not trying to make it sound like a nightmare or something, it's playable)

same here with my G303. can't be bothered to make a thing out of it though, so i just swap to a pad that it tracks well on.

I'm keeping the pad I love it. Just letting cpate know the issue exists, lgs is great but I'm unsure why if the mouse can adjust LOD that we can't raise or lower it. And it should show a warning when were raising it to a point where it may be too high or do one of those "save changes reverting in 10 seconds in case you lose tracking" at least as an advanced feature

OMG I just found out about this sidebuttonchange and always thought this Baby is for righthanded use only. Now I ordered it. smile.gif
