Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum announced - Page 172

With the 3360 we won't have to complain about the sensor anymore..... now just have it in a good shape with a good build and I think even the biggest enthusiast will be pretty pleased

That's Zowie for you. Also it doesn't really help how terrible availability currently is, and all that talk about Huano vs. Omron vs. Doubleclicks and possible new releases with updated sensors but no actual details about anything.

Just picked up a G900 today at my local Microcenter. They had it on sale for $139 and I couldn't pass it up. What DPI and in game settings are you guys currently running for Overwatch with it? I am going to experiment on my own but I just wanted to get a baseline

Most of the "pro" Overwatch players are using somewhere between 25-50cm/360. The better one's are at the lower end because they come from faster games like TF2.

I am using 800dpi and 6 in game sens for about a 30cm/360, which seems good for general use. Smaller cm/360 than I'm used to, but you need it for this type of game.

I'm using 1,000 DPI and 5 in-game. I hope they add that slider soon though, because the steps in sensitivity in-game are currently too far apart IMO.

Wow maybe I was playing too high with my old mouse. I was at 800 and 15 in game with my G602. Wonder if that is different? I was actually reading somewhere else about doing 4 in game and 1600 on the mouse. That would seem easiest for me because I usually run my mouse around 1500 dpi for general use in Windows. That way I could leave it as default when I launched the game. How are you guys calculating the cm/360? Just testing it in the game?

well i'd suggest using steps of 250 with the G602, since it uses the AM010.
for the G900 it doesn't really matter. if it feels good to you at 1500 or 1600 then i would just go ahead and use that. it tracks great at any "low" cpi step.

i just test in-game to "find my sens", but a lot of people use this: http://www.notalent.org/sensitivity/sensitivity.htm

edit: oh, i guess you're talking about Overwatch. i actually don't know what that sensitivity slider represents/does or what pitch and yaw values they used. 15 sens would be way too high for something like CSGO, but i don't know about OW.

I was going off of this guys advice... Seemed like 15/800 was pretty good but I was having issues with choppyness and inconsistency. It wasn't bad but just wasn't quite to my liking. Hoping the G900 is better. I will be testing it out tonight!

EDIT: a lot of people griping about this lol. So ill clarify. I'm mostly promoting around a 800-1600 dpi range. not strictly saying keep a 400-800. if you want to optimize mouse accuracy and avoid pixel skipping then look into using the native dpi on your mouse smile.gif

i'm not sure if that's what's causing the choppiness, but for the AM010 in your G602, native steps are every 250, so 800 could possibly feel off.
you could try 750 or 1000 and adjust your in-game sens to see if that feels any better.

but yes, the G900 uses a stronger sensor and performs objectively better :-)

Hi guys,
I'm using Sensitivity=3 and 1600 DPI on my G900, G300 G303 and G502.
This puts me in Overwatch, at about the same sensitivity I used in Unreal Tournament and other games. I'm guessing 40-45cm / 360.
Sort of lucky because 1600 / 1800 DPI is the DPI I've used ever since the Deathadder came out, and that was the native DPI of the sensor.
And Overwatch doesn't have fraction sensitivity adjustments, so "2" is far too low sens and "4" is far too high. I'm lucky that 3 fits right in without me having to start juggling around new profiles on the mouse.

This game absolutely NEEDS fraction adjustments for sens, just like how Black Ops 3 does. Treyarch at least nailed that down pat.
