I would say no... The G402 is nothing at all like the shape of the G900. What kind of feel are you looking for? IMO the G900 actually feels a bit like the Microsoft WMO with a little bit bigger hump on the back.

It's not competitive as an FPS, maybe as a moba. And that is mainly due to the game being designed towards a more casual gameplay which is not really rewarding individual skill. It does reward team skill though, so competitive leagues with good rule sets can still work well.

IDK about that, Ino.
There was this woman in Korea who was so good with her main character that she was accused of hacking. She had godlike aim and an 80% win rate. She streamed herself to prove she wasn't hacking and two pro gamers who had accused her both quit and left the scene afterwards, after they publicly embarrassed themselves (remember this is in Korea, so embarrassment is gg wp) by saying they would quit if she truly wasn't hacking.

So it sounds like individual skill can win games, even if it's not all the time. Even if it's not Quake 1v1 or UT dueling, certain characters can carry teams.

I would say individual skill is a huge factor. I have a buddy who is absolutely ridiculous with D.Va. I can be running along with a group for a few hours and doing ok with a good mix of wins and losses and then she comes in and plays D.Va and we absolutely roflstomp the other team and she usually gets 20-30+ kills per game. I am sure part of it is that I am lower level and usually get grouped with lower level people but still one good person can change the whole game.

i'm hoping that OW (and tf2!) won't need external leagues to make up good rule-sets. what i'd like to see is blizzard / valve do it themselves, so that we won't have to.
and i actually think it's gonna be quite interesting to see what valve comes up with for MM, and in which direction OW will be evolving the next few months

thanks for the reply. I'm just a bit scared on dropping $200 Aus on a mouse I haven't been able to get my hands on. I bought a g402 but didn't like feel of it, my ring finger couldn't get comfy at all

I will say that if you like ergonomic feeling mice like the G500, G700(s) G400, the G900 is going to be a change for sure. I came from the G602 and I was like what is this thing in my hand?! for about 3 hours and then I was fine. The shape of the G900 is much more like the shape you would expect from a standard non ergonomic mouse. Its got little tiny groves in the sides so it's easier to grip but it doesn't have a place for your thumb to rest and it doesn't cradle your fingers like most of Logitech's erganomic mice. I will upload some pictures for you in a min so you can get an idea of what I am talking about

So first one you see the WMO and that the mouse fills my palm but my fingers don't touch and there is nothing to hold my thumb

G900 you see that it fills my palm and fingers also don't touch and that there is no cradle for the thumb

And last G700s fills your whole hand and your fingers lay flat against the top of the mouse and you have a thumb wrest on the side.

Ok awesome thanks for the pics, the G900 looks pretty flat going by that. Just going by pics it kind of looks skinny and long also. Does your ring finger get caught up in-between the button and shell gap?

I have a hybrid claw grip. And everyone's hand size is different. But I've never had an issue where my fingers got caught in between the LMB or RMB. With that being said, since the mouse has a low profile, this would most likely benefit claw or fingertip grip. Palming it is possible but it takes a little getting used to the gap. When you fingertip or claw, you won't even realize there is a gap (the one between the back hump and the LMB/RMB).
