AMD added support for Polaris to Linux today.
https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dri-devel/2016-March/103422.html

Along with that we saw entries of Baffin and Ellesmere.
Quote:
Baffin: 67E0, 67E1, 67E8, 67E9, 67EB, 67FF
Ellesmere: 67C0, 67DF

Luckily, one AMD developer shed some light on the entries to find out what is what:
Quote:
Michael We're calling them Polaris 10 (was Ellesmere) and Polaris 11 (was Baffin) now, any chance you could tweak the article accordingly ?

Thanks !

Specifications of one upcoming Polaris 10 GPU have also been found.
Its name is "67DF:C4" which is Polaris 10/Ellesmere if you look at the list above.

Specifications of this Ellesmere is 2304 cores running at 800MHz, 36 CUs (which means 64 cores per compute units as before) and 256bit with 8GB VRAM running at 1500MHz.

FYI: Polaris 10 is AMD`s upcoming high end GPU from the Polaris architecture. Which means that atleast some of these will have GDDR5

It would be pretty cool if it said "Polaris" on the box.

Uhh, actually, the Ellesmere is supposed to be the low end and Baffin/XT to be the mid-range ones, thats how i remember them. Also, 1500Mhz on Memory at stock is crazy upgrade over the last GCN, that has it around 1300.

No,

Polaris 10 is high end. Didnt you watch AMDs presentation a week ago?
Polaris 10 beat Fury X.

Ellesmere is Polaris 10 according to AMD themselves. See OP

Maybe in some crazy dream.
If polaris 10 have 2304SP,256bit 6Ghz DDR5 with 192GB/s it will be miracle if polaris 10 can match even 390/390x.

No way Its faster than FuryX

Yeah I dont get it either. Unless they improved core performance by a massive amount thinking.gif

Yeah to beat Furyx with 2304Sp and 256bit 6Ghz DDR5 they need increase IPC by around 50-60% and have far better delta compression.

The GPU we found could be the disabled Polaris 10, while the full have say 2560 cores.

AMD have said both that Polaris 10 is the high end and that the GPU in OP is Polaris 10. Thats all we know. Perhaps they have increased performance in the cores then. Unlike Pascal which is looking to be Maxwell 2.0, Polaris is redesigned and brand new. They could have made big changes to the architecture and core performance

I thought Greenland was the high end card.
