Just ignore this if not.

To add to the Moba list i suggest you check out Paragon a 3rd person moba on the unreal engine i believe. looks glorious and very promising reviews so far.

Edit: Oh and if you're wondering, the entire trailer was made in game, from actual live game play footage.

Well there are few Early Access games labaled as EA on the list. I will add Paragon as EA too. So people will know it is not a finished product.

+1 on that. It is my most played game last year. Every ranked match is extremely fun especially when you play it with people you can communicate with. It is one hell of an addictive game. Easy to learn but hard to master thumb.gif

I started a sports category and added the game there. It is the only game for the time being but sure other games will be there in time thumb.gif

No one mentioned Planescape Torment yet? I feel obliged to, you can add in Baldurs Gate 2, and lately Pillars Of Eternity both at a notch below Torment. I loved those Infinity engine games, memorable characters, strategic party combat and so many skill and spell options, and in the case of Planescape:Torment the best writing and story in a game bar none that Ive played to this day.

I really liked the Banner Saga and since no one mentioned it yet I'll throw it in. Its kind of an RPG with a great hand drawn art style, in a twisted Disney sort of way. Turn based combat which I enjoyed although it isnt the greatest. Its more the whole package of the world and writing coupled with the art style. There's a sequel coming soonish as well.

Whle I'm at it, I'm also looking for a game that plays like the Settlers 2, I loved that game years ago and I've been looking for something similar for a long time. A city/empire building strategy game that progresses in real time at a nice slow pace. The sort of thing where you can see the characters building the building and wandering about if thats not too vague. I played Banished and it was fun for a while but it has no campaign and there's no end game, once youve built everything it just goes on forever until you die of boredom. I'd love to find something newish like that with a good campaign if anyone has any ideas?

+1 on Torment, Baldur's gate and Settlers 2 thumb.gif

I also added the other games on the list as well. I have pillars of eternity and Banner Saga on my wishlist. Next sale they are mine biggrin.gif

I would like to make a recommendation under "Tower Base" genre...

Orcs Must Die and Orcs Must Die 2... Both games are easy to learn but kinda tough if you aim for full stars. You play the game as a mage and try to defend orcs to go to the door/doors you are protecting. You can put traps, have weapons ready and even play the 2nd game coop with your friend to make sure Orcs never make it to the last door. It is not as easy as it sounds. The game does not only based on Tower Base but you can hack and slash or shoot Orcs yourself as a Third Person Controlled character. I find the game to be a challange at times and trust me those orcs can be brutal at times.

Anyone into Tower Base games with some TPS twist please check out this game. I am sure you saw this game a lot on Steam sales already and if it never caught your attention, take a look at it one more time thumb.gif

Both the 1st and 2nd games are fun but if you have to pick one try to go for the 2nd game as it has more traps, weapons etc... Ah last but not least a new free to play version of the game came out but I have no idea about it.

I'd allow games that are in beta that are "publicly" available etc, and suggestions on how to get into beta tests for new games etc. thumb.gif

early access games should be flagged as such as you generally have to pay for them, betas should be free...we're giving up our free time to QA their stuff

well, and get a go of the game before release like the old days of first level demos biggrin.giftongue.gif

EARLY ACCESS: Road redemption if not mentioned, road rash for the pc for anyone who is an 90s gamer, multiplayer online being worked on apparently! game is well fun as is, eggbox or ps3 (haven't tried played at mates with 360 one, not bought game myself yet, will do after next update no doubt) controller recommended. if you complete the levels given it gives you the dev's home phone number, didn't call as I'm in space, would cost me a few quid tongue.gif

Edit: vehicular combat catagory

also play road rash biggrin.gif

Never played that one, but you just reminded me of two games that are in that same genre and are a blast to play with friends.

Sanctum and Sanctum II, tower base/FPS. Can play by yourself or multiplayer. Basically build up your maze, defense towers, and upgrade weapons then kill baddies to keep them from getting to the core.

Only reason I ever have or played that game was because my German friend gifted it to me and bugged me every day to play with him. biggrin.gif Boy, it sure get crazy with me running around with shotgun and my southern accent and him snipping. tongue.gif *Though, don't top the one time me, him, and his two friends where playing a custom map on L4D2, and we kept glitching on a ladder causing us to fall and zombies to swarm.*

Definitely good "forgotten" mentions, although only noobs have forgotten about Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate II. Planescape not only has unparalleled writing quality, but the amount of role-playing it offers is matched by very few, and all of those few had some of the same developers. redface.gif

Have you played Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions? Far more skill/feat/spell options than Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II and Pillars of Eternity combined, and Mask of the Betrayer is a spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment and is the next best thing as far as writing quality in games goes. It also has more role-playing in some respects than Planescape: Torment.

Ok, this should qualify, it's old, forgotten, and awesome:

Metal Fatigue.

One of the first, if not the first 3D RTS, with a LOT of revolutionary cool features, like 3 layers of battlefield (underground, ground and air), and mechs with reusable parts that can be cut off in battle.

Well it seems that the new f2p Orcs Must Die game is an abomination unfortunately. Reviews are terrible. Die hard fans of the game cursing at it. I guess the studio changed or something. Shame because Orcs Must Die I&II were awesome...

Also added road redemption thumb.gif

I am going to buy Sanctum 2 in the next sale. I had downloaded it and played a few minutes at a free weekend event but than I had some other stuff to do and could never play it again. Missed the sale back than. It surely looks interesting.
