this is my setup atm. But aslong as you leak test your pc for 24 hours without it running you will be fine. Jump start your psu with nothing plugged in and run it for 24 hours atleast. Ziptie/clamp everything and triple check. I run straight water in my loop

I'm waiting for the AIB cards to come out, too many "issues" with the reference version of this card. I wouldn't leak test IN my PC, I'd take the whole loop somewhere away from it and run the whole thing while in the correct positions first, then put it in with plenty of towels EVERYWHERE and then maybe, JUST maybe, I'll have the balls enough to just run it. But JEEZ do custom loops look SICK af with blacklight reactive liquids and stuff.

Project completed! need to get different HDMI/DP connectors because that cable I got is WAY too thick, but I was able to get it snaked around, not cable managed like I wanted though.

Here's the way I went about it, it's really pretty straghtforward but in case you were wondering.

  • I got the screen in the mail.
  • Opened and tested it.
  • Removed the window from my case.
  • Placed the screen where I wanted it to be.
  • Used a screwdriver to score the marks for the holes.
  • Drilled the holes out with a drill bit slightly larger than the bolts that were supplied with the screen (I bought the screen that came with a plexiglass "case")
  • And then just bolted it together using the supplied harware and rear piece of the screen bracket.

Ended up needing to use one of my angled HDMI adapters to get the cable to fit because the ports on the screen were a bit too close to the bevel of the case for the cable end to fit. Micro USB cable I have fits fine though. biggrin.gif

But pretty much exactly what you'd think I did. Set it up as an extension of my main desktop and drug some rainmeter skins and a windows gadget over there for monitoring my stuff.

On my second monitor that's mounted in my case I'm running rainmeter skins, the ones I have on currently belong to the "illustro Gadgets" skin group which pull info from HWinfo. And the clock is MiUi Clock. I currently have the skins monitoring my GPU clocks, temps, fan speeds, and memory useage, All the same for my CPU, a network monitor and a drive monitor that shows storage levels and activity. Each displays numeric data as well as a visual graph. Works great for what I need it to do, the only thing I need to figure out is how to get resizeable skins, and possibly get all 4 skins melded into one huge block of distinguishable information as one smooth skin.

I still need to try to OC my CPU though, DOOM crushes it. But surprisingly (even at a higher OC than on FO4) My graphics card runs cooler.. weird.

Wide shot of my setup. I'm a packrat and like to have everything within reach. Fridge is just out of frame to the right.

Attempted to OC using that table that was posted above, 4.6Ghz @ 1.35xxx v no change to my NB or RAM running a CPU burner from afterburner and the stress test built into AMD OD software PC crashed after around 12 minutes of running both tests simultaneously. Temps never went above 52C though from what I saw.

Maybe both tests at once was a bad idea...

Anyhow that was enough toying untill I can have someone baby me through it speaking like I'm in preschool. Seriously though, I really don't think I know enough to do CPU OC right now. Even though that's the step I need to take next to get my rig running at optimal speed.

Also the Sapphire Nitro RX 480 needs to drop yesterday. I need a new card so I can max Doom out!

Ehm, Hey sry been awhile yea... anyway I think your reading the chart wrong "cpu volts" is whatever is in bios and will be different depending on what mobo u have and what "LLC" setting ur using the important part is the volts column thats what the CPU needs to be at while under load... try 4.6ghz @1.432V thumb.gif

Hey man! Thanks I'll give it a shot. Like I said I'm more of a visual learner, like if someone sits here and shows me where to go and what to do I usually put what I read and studied to what I "did" or was shown how to do and end up learning things very quickly that way. To me there's a lot to CPU OC even though after you learn it it's really simple (sometimes haha) whereas my GPU I can just set in crimsion to auto OC when certain games are loaded and I'm done haha.

Messing with the Bios is where I start to get scared. I do have a dual bios on my MOBO (Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4) which is handy but I also don't have the cash to replace something if I fry it lol. So I act way more cautiously than I have to untill I know otherwise. I'm the same way when I'm working on my car, if I'm not sure how durable something is I'll treat it like glass untill I learn otherwise because I can't afford it, but also why replace something I don't have to because I was unknowledged? That's my philosophy haha at least till I hit the lotto. Then everything's gettin BAM-BAMed till it works. thumb.gif

I'll give that voltage a shot in the AMD OD program and run the stress tests see how it goes.

Will report back!
