UPDATE - AND IT BEGINS....

Afternoon all!

As of the 20th, the remaining parts are on their way to me.. so this week everything should be completed which means this coming weekend is assembly time! So I've started working on some of the little finishing bits;

Both EK Backplates for the 970's are now white to better match the build.. while a heap of the hardware will remain black, these should help tie it all together a bit! Also changed up the MSI SLI Bridge to better match as well.

Took this opportunity to start refreshing the cards/blocks as well.. so while there are no photos (horrid days here lately) I pulled apart the blocks.. cleaned them and replaced all the thermal pads/compound.

I'll start flushing the rest of the loop components (radiators.. pump/res) this week so come this weekend, I'll be right to build build build!

Will head down to Powdercoaters during the week and check all is good.. I guess this is about the only factor that will stop it happening this weekend. I spoke to them last week though and said all was good.

So stay tuned and watch it all come together!

OK so you know how I said the only thing that would stop me building this weekend.. as unlikely as it was.. was the case?

Well... the case has been delayed. Rear panel needs to be redone. Next weekend has been assured.. DAMMIT

UPDATE - OK, NOW IT BEGINS....

Evening ladies an gents!

As I write to you now, everything is at the Powdercoaters, who have assured me it will be completed for Friday. Everyone keep their fingers and toes crossed for me.. I've bailed on quite a few important functions this weekend just so I could dedicate the 2 days to this tongue.gif

I'll let the 2 HORRRRRRRRRIBLE pictures below tell their own story.. I didn't get much chance to document the process as I only had a few hours to test fit everything.. make sure all necessary holes were cut, and dismantle it down to all its separate parts..

Will keep this up to date with how it all goes - remember fingers AND toes!

Worst build log ever right?? hahaha!

It's late and I have been at it all day - I promise to update with full photos and a better write up of how it all went.. as to be honest it didn't really go to plan.
