Temp Formulation

Thread Starter
Anyone know if there is a formula to calculate a suspected temperature of a water cooled CPU given the ambient room temperature?

there are so many variables to such a formula that i think it would be impossible. Loop components, flow rates, fans and their respective performance with given loop components at various speeds, differences in types of hardware used, differences in the quality of the hardware itself(even of the same parts), variances in the quality of the same cpus, etc. A ballpark of +/- 5c might be the best estimate you could attain if such a formula even exists.

ya that'd be tough. Probably your best bet would be to ask around and see what other people are achieving with that processor and a similar cooler and overclock
