Ino. has this mouse replaced your fk2 as your standard mouse?
IIRC Ino has been using the ZA11 as his main since it was released. The G900 didn't replace it (but I think he's been using the FK1+ as of recent too).

That is correct, I've been using the ZA11 since it was released and more recently switched to the FK1+. Before all that I used the FK1, FK2 is too small for me.

Ino, a quick question before doing my own research.

I bud of mine bought one and I got to hold it and test the grip recently. I'm a huge fan of the shape, weight, balance, etc. I did notice however that the G900 is the first mouse whose tallest part fits in both of my grip styles. It actually is long enough and high enough in the right part (in the very rear) that it fits perfectly. Do you know of another mouse (I'm thinking Zowie) that does this?

If it's so good, why not change?

I would suggest be more detailed about your question, it's a little hard to know exactly what you mean.

Not sure if I understood correctly, but if you mean the overall high profile then no, I don't know other mice that are shaped like it.

Because the shape is not optimal for me. It's good, but I'm at a point where shape is my main focus with mice, and the ZA11 just worked better for me in that regard.

Fk1+ does look nice, I caught some pics of it next to the Sensei, looks very similar.

Yeah but I wouldn't bother with zowie until they fix stuff like they're scroll wheel being junk and since they're all about being no compromise they should be the first on board with the 3360; they make a good product no doubt in my mind but the quality can be better.. pretty much the only thing they had over logitech was the rubber cable and shape

The best way I know to put it is that the rear of the mouse is consistently taller than other mice that I've used are. Where mice like the DA, Zowie EC1-A and EC2-A drop off rather quickly after the tallest point, the G900 seems to have a gradual height to it until the very back of the mouse. I guess I'll try to find some pictures and outline what I mean.

EDIT:

This is actually your picture, but what I'm speaking of is more how the G900 is shorter, but the 'hump' or tallest part is consistent throughout and doesn't really drop off like the G502 does in this pic towards the rear. If you were to force the G900 into the very base of your palm, the height of the mouse would actually be focused there, whereas the G502's tallest part is somewhere in the middle of your hand. Not sure that this makes it any clearer :/.

EDIT2:

The Zowie ZA series has a somewhat similar profile where it places the higher portion closer to the rear, but not as consistently as the G900. Maybe this helps redface.gif.

Yes. You also have to notice that the button levers themselves are higher up on the G900 than the G502, and much, much more so, than on the Zowie. I don't know of any other mouse that has a shape like that.
