I'm sure the delay with this thing is ever so minuscle, but I can definitely tell (Ino already did a button latency test of the G900 wireless and wired, wired is faster by about 1+ ms, may not be much, but it is technically faster).

Do you know if the battery on the g900 can be removed?

It's been done. I think someone on this thread showed a link to pics on what he/she did to do it. But quite honestly, the internals look more complicated than your run of the mill mouse. It's not like taking apart a Zowie mouse or the G303 (which are actually quite easy to take apart and put back together)

I do not think the battery will be much of an issue unless you are using the mouse 8-12hrs gaming every day. If you charge it 3 times per week, which is about 75 hours and lets say it gets 800 cycles before degradation, that would be around 5 years before this would be an issue. I am not sure about other people but 50+ hours a week for gaming is a lot unless you are a professional gamer.

I play between 35-40 hours a week and I feel that the G900 is slightly better wired than wireless that's why I was wondering about removing the battery but it seems like too much of a hassle .

Yeah seems like too much hassle. I am guessing you wanted to remove it for weight?

Yeah, to decrease weight.

removing the battery is quite easy. just know that, while lighter overall, it will feel more front heavy.

Removing the stress relief rubber helps with the top heavyness

I agree. I guess the best way to put it is that the G900 wired feels a lot 'snappier' than if it were wireless. Then again, this could be something so minuscle as noticing the difference between 60fps and 75fps. After using this mouse religiously for months, I'd say it's more than a placebo effect.

miniscule? 60 to 75? you must have.. low fps eyes
