This might be due to the test setup rig using "clean" nv driver install with default gamma/vibrancy, which you're probably very right to say does look worse to amd in comparison.
Yeah, definitely looks like unadjusted gamma to me. It's not only the shadowy parts that look bleached, it's the whole image being too bright & weak contrast.

Just noticed a weird thing: why is Pascal with color compression using more vram than Polaris ?

It has nothing to do with allocation, just the transmission encoding algorithm smarter. Memory is the same, they cannot go extreme, tft displays aren't active proponents.

I don't even know if you're replying to image quality or memory usage.

I havent watched the video but in the quoted screenshot there is a definate difference in field of view or focal point making less image visable on the nVidia side.

I see at least one major light source missing from the 1060 snap, the bottom right one (the one under the desk where the chair is). Not sure if it is an IQ issue between gpu vendors or simply game engine is all over the place. It is worth investigating though.

Joker said on his twitter that he did fix the Nvidia HDMI color issue prior to recording, so it's not that.

86% CPU usage on the RX480 too , can't imagine an i5 will handle that well. Knew I should of bought an i7

only that's entirely not what I was pointing to.

that part looks the same in this video but the game is broken in many ways..

i don't recommend this game to anyone even if you are looking for a cinematic experience. the gameplay is mediocre, generic combat, puzzles and the acting (cut scenes) is poor with unnecessary jokes
