It looks and seems safe to do so. so I'll probably go down that route

Finally progress...

I bought a circular saw to save me time on cuts and more importantly for perfectly straight cuts.

Update biggrin.gif
Cut the fan controller and front panel hub out

The nasty wood chip marks left from my crap jigsaw blade will be filled in with some type of wood filler, same with visible holes where the front panel stuff are.

Update...
Ordered some extension cables, still waiting on my wood, fans and reset switch. Also I ordered a soldering kit (for the power and reset button).

Man have I got an update, managed to get soo much done today!

2 of my corsair af120 fans have arrived biggrin.gif. Yes I need another 4 or 6 lol but can't afford them now so I got 2 for reference

The final sheet of wood also arrived(in a different colour/finish than before) but it's all going to be black. Will be cutting the top and a divider out of it

That circular saw was scary to use xD but it cut the wood like it was nothing!

Cut out the hole for my 120mm radiator and fans

Was about to pack up for the night until I heard a knock on the door biggrin.gif

My soldering iron and solder came. Also my mother board acrylic back plate and my USB extension cable. So i went back to work...

I'm proud of my first soldering experience, wired the power switch nicely

I have a problem... The desk is uneven... The back panels are taller than the front. Any suggestions for what I can do?

Looking good. smile.gif
Depending on how much taller the back panel is you could plane it down with a hand planer (they make both electric and manual ones). A belt sander would work too but would be less precise and make a huge mess.
