So I installed the fans yesterday, I was a bit disapointed that I'm not able to mount 3x140mm fans in the front (it's not advertised as so, I just wanted it to be able to do that)

I might be able if I mount the fans inwards, but I need to mount them outwards so that I save as much space inside as I can for the ITX motherboard.

I didn't get time to take measurements to find where I want to mount what, but I have a good idea of how I'll be doing things.

I'm sure you'll not have any trouble cutting up the front to accommodate the fans anyway.
Either way, I am subscribed. Dual system builds are always cool to follow.

The plan.

Place holder mATX board that will be replaced with my Z170A m5 board. They're the same width.

With the great weather coming this weekend, I'll be able to get some real nice pictures for you guys on top of doing good progress.

I will be able to do most, but my 24-pin "y" will be another week or two to get from moddiy.

I just realized with the ITX board orientation I want, I'll have to make a custom heatsink bracket for my Gammaxx 400 so the the airflow can go from front to back instead of top to bottom or the opposite.

Fun times ahead smile.gif

Great build. Always cool to see another dual system build, especially one with such a small footprint. :thumb:

I'm typing on the rig as we speak, but on the ATX side wink.gif

Since I like to tease, here it is running (only the ATX side until I get my 24-pin splitter and make my custom Gammaxx 400 bracket for the FM2+ board.

Major things left to do
  • Wire the ITX side
  • Wire the storage
  • Put the P400 reset switch as the power switch for the ITX system
  • Make an expansion slot with USB 3.0 and HDMI for the ITX system
  • Install the Swiftech PWM controller
  • Install filter for rear intake
  • Paint ATX side heatsinks and RAM
