Waiting for Zowie and 3360 in general

I'm sure many of you seeing this topic hoped for something else. Now, when 3360 is public, how long will it take for brands like Zowie to update their line up with new sensor?

Also, check how 3360 is sold by SS - with overweight mouse with many "gimmicks" not saying that its not cool, but that's not very competitive (weight, sensor position).
Or Logitech G900, very expensive, wireless, and heavy- again.

Why it is so hard to have 3360 with decent shape and what not. Why 3360 is being sold with excessive amount of other features? Premium sensor premium features?
Sometimes it strikes me that game industry is making stuff for causal, that weight or sensor position is something not even considered, but DPI over 9000 or RGB full color.

I'm pretty sure that having a product that is very well optimized (all aspect of mouse, sensor, firmware etc.) can be appealing for both, casual and more hardcore gamers. Unless, people pulling the strings have no idea about mice and and the same time their opinions weights the most...

It's even more interesting now that Logitech has shown a commitment to weight loss with things like the spoked mouse wheel and messing around with wall thickness on the G900. G9x was a bit heavy for its size with the shells on, so if they refreshed it now it'd actually probably be a proper weight.

Shame it'll likely never happen though.

Tactical nuke inbound on OP!!!!

Haha but you should change the title to make it more appropriate. Also zowie just re-launched their whole benQ lineup with the 'new huanos' so I don't think we're going to see a new sensor right away... maybe not even this year

I judge mosue by CSGO, ok? Not feel but behavior. So Zowie 3310 is good, i can be pretty on point. Problem is when i try to transfer spray, it goes all around, not focused at all and trust me, i can spray very well. Im not sure if 3310 zowie contributes the same from X and Y axis or its framerate issue? No idea. When 3090 was totally different in regards of that, and buttons were most problematic. So 3360 might be the gold im looking for.
Zowie by Benq, I was soldering each a single Zowie so far with 50% success rate (very easy to break it or overheat it) when i was ordering new EC2 by Benq, i thought i'm gonna get omrons...
ScreamOne sounds great, but im getting older every day.

Because it's impossible. For instance, I can't use ergonomic mice at all when gaming (except MX500 shape) and I'm not alone here. So, you already have to make 2 mice.

Now sensors. Some people prefer optical sensors (regardless whether it's LED illuminated or VCSEL), others use sensors like Phillips Twin Eye, most don't even care though. There's also a question of implementation.

Then let's go to switches. Some people prefer omrons or huanos, others prefer something else. Asus made it possible for you to switch the switches, but it went awful very fast. Some mice have atrocious click latency due to poop firmware.

Then shell design. Some people are ok with stiff shell like zowie has, others love button design of G302/303.

After this we go to people who want aesthetics. LEDs, colourful paint, design that stands out.

And in the end you'll always have someone who wants everything for as little $$$ as possible.

You can't make everybody happy.

I think if SteelSeries didn't screw up the Kinzu, Kana, and Xai, they'd be very good options for cheap(er) mice, but we all know how carelessly those ended up being put together.

When Zowie drops the next ec1 version with the 3360 i'll snatch one. Just hope they fix the scroll finalllllllly, & fine tune the side buttons a bit more so they don't take so hard of a push to actuate them. I feel like that is the perfect ergo shape, my hand seems to love it. I do always seem to go back to Zowie no matter what.

My FK has been calling my name recently, and as much as I hate it for the click latency, it feels like everything else is just done so perfectly. I am hoping for the Kinzu v1 to scratch that itch but if it doesn't...I'm probably just gonna call it quits and go back to my FK.

I get the point, but Twin Eye is rather niche. Switches are mostly omrons, and if shells is not too thick most people wouldn't know the difference anyway.
Why not have zowie shell and logitech swiches?

Look at Rival 100. Shape wise many CSGO gamers were happy with but finish and sensor not so much anymore. Rival 700, shape that most CSGO gamers like but not everyone (including myself as i always keep wondering which grips is best or it was designed for - totally distracting). Why not put higher price tag on Rival 100, make it 3360 and better finish? (I know at the time 3360 weren't public but thats not the point). What's the deal about having "all or nothing"?
