I am very lucky that my Pg248Q does not have that problem. The reason I went with a TN panels is because of the horrible quality issues that the Expensive IPS gsync models have.

So you could retry to get an other version of your monitor or the PG248Q . It is not the case in every monitor.

I can try set brightness to 30 and switch light off. Mabe then you notice it.

What do you see with the brightness at like say... 70, with the Blank screen saver? Do you see a very dark top-half with a distinct division between a dark top-half a brighter bottom-half?

What if you turned on the Blue Light feature and made your browser go full-screen to "about:blank"? Does the top-left section become noticeably brown?

I am not at home now, so I can't check for you exactly.

I know I messed around a alot with the brightness settings and I could not find it in any settings.
Just putting On a white screen or the white background of youtube and it is just normally White.

I do see a little brown/yellow color in the topcorners but that is just a TN Thing. When I move my head to that Corner and look at it Straight ahead it is just normal white as you would expect. No issue there at all.

I must say that I am pretty happy with how the colours are. They are much better than my Old TN screen.

I Use settings pretty close to this:
https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/asus-pg248q/

GamePlus= Racing Mode

Brightness= 35 (according to preferences and lighting)

Gamma= 1.8 > I use 2,2

R= 100

G= 92

B= 99

OD= Normal

Refresh rate= 144Hz

Again, please turn the Blue Light setting on for viewing a fully-white screen.

Also, I'd love to see what you see when you preview the Blank screensaver with a high brightness setting. Like I asked, do you see an obvious division in brightness between the top and bottom?

Haha, I now need to proof that faultless monitors do exist? smile.gif

Do you know a site where I can easy upload pictures?

And what is the point of using unrealistic Bright settings?

I shall see what i can do tonight (I live in Europe) after I am done with the BF1 Beta.
I played it yesterday on the screen in combi with an GTX1070 and it was great. Very fluid. No single screentear to be found.

I don't need photos.

Unrealistic brightness? I use about 65-75 for gaming and movies (no, not with ULMB). Can you help me out? I don't want to buy the monitor and then have to return it. I'm already having to do that with the XB241H and it's going to be a hassle that I do not want to have to go through again.

Some of my movies and games have very VERY dark scenes where this poor backlight uniformity is distracting. I'm talking about that obvious division in brightness between the top half and the bottom half. You can especially see it with your room lights very low or off. That's how I'll be using the monitor.

If you could help me with that, then you'd be doing me an extremely big favor.
