Frame rate issue with GTA V

Thread Starter
Hi hopefully someone can help me,

I have been having issues with my copy of GTA V, where my frame rate constantly bounces anywhere between 7-60 FPS.

It happened all of a sudden, last night it was fine, and i come back today to play it, and now the frame rate is all over the place. I have been playing it on high settings at 1920x1080 for months at a solid 60 FPS, and now i cant get a decent frame rate at 800x600 with all the settings turned as low as they can go.

I'm stuck to why it has happened, and until it if fixed its unplayable.

Thanks in advance

What are your temperatures? Your GPU/CPU could be overheating and throttling back to stop itself from frying.

The CPU max was 48 degrees, and the GPU max was 35 degrees.

Sorry for the late reply, I meant to type 45 for the GPU. It seems like the problem has sorted it self out now.

Thank you for the help and quick replies 😊
