Pretty much, as it starts throttling at 60C,and then 74C it gets really finicky, with the gpu load bouncing around all over.

Water cooling won't change your heat output of a device. It just adds more surface area to easier remove the heat away from a processor. If anything its then easier to add more heat into the room.

Yup! We can deal with the room temps of a single card and cpu, but the biggest issue is my video card sitting at 80C. At least with water cooling I can also use the fans on a MO-RA to get air circulating in the living room as well, so I won't have this weird right arm is hot and left arm is chilly (due to fan pointed at it) thing going on tongue.gif

Hahaha. Sounds like you'll need a vent straight outside somewhere so it never even ends up inside during the warmer months. I got a window fan but still need to move the PC over by it so it can shove all the warm air right outside.

Edit: It says I have 66 units waiting for validation. Server stats say there are 20 total. It must be including my 66 in the Workunits waiting for assimilation count.

I was planning on mounting a MO-RA in the window and have it constantly bring in fresh air... We'll, for the benching rig, but I might make use of such a setup for the daily rigs as well....

True, but mine especially goes nuts once it goes above 74C.

I don't remember where, but I once found a college dorm project that used dryer duct, some 120mm fans, and small cardboard boxes to vent a PC tower directly out the window.

My POGs CPU usage finally slammed 100% headscratch.gif

Now I can't keep my 3 GPUs fed for PG... well, I can, but I have to back POGs off to 5 cores instead. Which also doesn't make sense to me when BOINC is telling me that the PG units are only using .1 CPU each, but somehow are taking more. It's the only way I could get enough power to keep the GPUs fed though was to assign enough room of 1 core per GPU, even now they're sitting around only 90% total usage and so is my CPU usage hovers 90-95 as well.

What the heck changed from last night? I don't think throwing that extra 280x in could have changed the CPU usage that much, from hovering at 50-75% to full 100% and not able to keep the GPUs fed. That seems like something changed in my POGs WUs... although what I have no idea since all the file names are labeled the exact same thing.

PG uses a lot more CPU than the application reports.

Mine are reporting .245 CPU per application, but Afterburner is showing 75-80% CPU usage on 4 applications (8 core vishera) That's right six to six and a half cores to run four GPU PG Sieve WU's

Doesn't run like any other GPU project I've seen.
