Project Specific Information:

*In order to get work on AMD R9-290(x), or newer GPUs, it is necessary to use the anonymous platform (app_info.xml). Download the file for your OS, and then extract it into the project folder.  After extracting the files into the project folder you will have to restart the BOINC client.

PG_AMD_Windows.zip 703k .zip file

PG_AMD_MacOS.zip 247k .zip file

PG_AMD_Linux64.tar.zip 273k .zip file

PG_AMD_Linux32.tar.zip 336k .zip file

app_config.xml:

<app_config>
    <app>
        <name></name>
    </app>
</app_config>

*Note* app_config.xml is currently empty, and will be updated if there are any optimizations for the project.

If you are running a R9 290 or newer, you will need some extra files to run prime grid. Add the project first then Download the zip for your OS at this link and extract the contents into your primegrid boinc directory. for me in windows it is C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.primegrid.com

Restart BOINC and request an update. You should start getting prime grid tasks.

From the project web site where you edit preferences to select projects.

Quote:
 Nvidia drivers 364.xx and 365.xx should NOT be used due to a serious bug that produces incorrect results. Please use either 362.xx (or lower) or 368.xx (or higher). Note that Windows Vista is no longer supported as of 368.xx, so Vista *MUST* use 362.xx or lower.

Looks like am I good on both my systems.

It doesn't say anything about the 367.xx driver I'm using, which is the latest available in Gentoo.....I guess I'm good.
