Also uncheck the cpu portion for PG. Cpu should be dedicated to the CPU disciplines for maximum pentathlon efficiency.

I am out of PrimeGrid units frown.gif

I have asked a buddy to lend me a 5770 just for the sake of getting more tasks xD

I am putting full power to all CPU projects though.

If you already have 100 tasks queued up to upload, then Prime will not download more even if you add a GPU.  You will just get the "No tasks requested too many uploads in progress".  That trick only works before you have a bunch of tasks waiting to upload. :thumb:

Dang frown.gif

Thanks for the news though. I will still get that card for the Sprint project, should help a bit for bunkering.

Yeah, I had to release about 40 to get PG to download another 100 when I tossed my 280X in.

My GPU's are more worthwhile then my CPU though. That was only about 9 or so POGs units worth of CPU work lost and I'd rather bunker 300 PG units with an extra yield of 60 WUs worth of points then worry about my weak POG crunch.

Also, I haven't run any PPS up to be validated yet, although I do have some in queue, but right now, my best PPD seems to be GFN 18. I'm averaging 30-40 minute run times (half of what the avg runtime is in the preferences ~1 Hour) for 1500 points, vs all the other GFNs (15, 16, 17 low/mega. I haven't run the 19+ units.) are only about 1/2 the PPD. I'll let you know on the PPS runs though, just thought I'd toss that out there for you guys.

PPS Sieve, 20 minute run times for 3,370 in PPD each. Blows all the GFN's away on PPD return.

There is a Boinc prime task (PSA) that gives more PPD but it is the testing part of PG and requires manual setup and contacting the admins and developers.

For fire and forget, PPS Sieve is the tops in PPD on Primegrid.

I just wish I could get more. I've had my share of PPS GPU tasks done for awhile.
