if you are on Linux it would be pretty quick to set up another OS install on a USB 3 stick. Then you would just have to boot into your main install to upload the tasks that you have already completed.

There is a Boinc prime task (PSA) that gives more PPD but it is the testing part of PG and requires manual setup and contacting the admins and developers.

For fire and forget, PPS Sieve is the tops in PPD on Primegrid.

20 minute run times on what gpu ? Even my old 7950's seem to be finishing them in about 14-15 minutes

Yes I have a pair of 7970's doing them in under 12.

I was illustrating that there were better tasks to run under Prime Grid using the averages, not specifying a specific card.

Tahitis will easily do 12-15 minutes a PPS sieve WU. (as long as your not running anything else on the CPU. WU times go up when you do)

My 670 is doing them in about 9.5 minutes. Not bad for an old card.

Doesn't matter what your doing on PG, they like Nvidea much better.

I'm currently on Win7 with my GTX 970 as my main desktop. It's also crunching a lot of pog units as well. Good idea though.

Will need more USB sticks and spare OS installs for next year. wink.gif

290X doesn't look too bad, 200 tasks that I have waiting on it finished from 8 minutes and 1 second to 8 minutes and 14 seconds. That actually seems to be faster than GTX 970

I must be doing something wrong, my fastest time on my 970 was 16:50 and I probably have an average time of about 22 mins while only crunching PPS units and POGS on my CPU. But then, I'm always loading up Time Clickers....I'm so close to getting 100% achievements...I only need one more....I'm an achievement whore. tongue.gif But the 16 minute runs are when I don't have anything else running.

I just noticed that my other GTX 970 is running a bit slower even though they both are same kind of Inno3d cards and at same clocks, other one finishes tasks just below 10 minutes while other one needs about 10 minutes 30 seconds

PPS Sieve took around 8:35 to 8:50 on my 970 depending on how many CPU tasks I was trying to squeeze through it as well. Normally OC'd to 1441-1463 or so I think. Collatz is pushing it lower atm.
