Advice on Graphics Card for 1440p

Thread Starter
I have a 1440p Monitor and looking to get a graphics card. Looking to stay under $400. Haven't built a computer in 8 years so looking for advice!

PSU is 750w

http://www.amazon.com/XFX-ATX12V-EPS12V-Supply-P1750GTS3X/product-reviews/B00JNBGNGM/ref=cm_cr_dp_qt_hist_one?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&showViewpoints=0

Recs on better PSU as well for similar price are welcome

Bad timing bro. All the new stuff will be out in June most likely. Though if you go used you could likely catch some good deals on a 970/980.

Sub-$400 new

GTX 970 if Nvidia (maybe a 980 if you can find one on the cheap)
R9 390 or 390x if AMD.

Though if I were in your shoes I'd look for a cheap, lower end gpu to toss in the rig as a hold over until the new stuff hits. It's so close.

you could try to find an used 7950/7970/280/x for less than 130 and upgrade in 2017/2018 with vega/navi gpus or if you can just hold for the 2016 video cards

just get a 280x to hold you over until the new stuff arrives in june.
