Please let me know what actual FreeSync range on this monitor is once you get DP cable, because I see mixed info about 40-75 or 48-75.
This is very common, even if gameplay supports 21:9, menus are still 16:9.

Managed to borrow a DP cable from work, but it seems crimson hates me.

Nevermind I fixed it. I'll post about the range once it's up again.

Hello everybody. My first post here.

I own a 34UC88 and have the problem that when i want to change brightness or contrast or whatever in the NVidia control panel, the setting changes makes no difference at all. It looks like it is jumping back to default values. When i move the brightness slider full to the right,i can see the screen lighten up, just for a second. I already reset the monitor. Do i do something wrong?

Update : finally i restored a clean w10 image, now i can change the settings again. I don't know why i had the problems.

Just joined the Massdrop for the 88. Paid $679 and it will arrive in early September. Beyond excited right now thumb.gif

I am going to sell off my GTX 670 and pick up an RX 480. Then, I will grab another RX 480 when prices and supply ease a bit.

I'd rather suggest finding some good deal for Fury for 299-350$, there are many discounts going around recently, RX 480 is to slow to handle 3440x1440 in demanding games, Fury/980 is bare minimum.

I cant seem to find any Fury's in the $300 price range on Newegg/Amazon/Jet. Any suggestions? What about a 1070? I am also considering popping the extra $150 for the 1070 over the 480, or going with 2 x 480.

I don't know, I don;t live in the US, I just heard people getting good deals on Fury recently, I also got one in Europe for 349 EUR. 1070 will do, FreeSync range on those monitors is 55-75 anyway and there is no guarantee that expanding the range will work, for me it didn't, so it may turn out that FreeSync will be useless for you.

I believe the UC87 is the older version curved panel.
UM88 is the 2nd gen ultrawide flat panel.
