So close to be perfect, and yet there is this small blue bleed in one corner to annoy you everytime 16:9 content with black bars on the side or in black background menus like in The Witcher 3...

Fortunately this is not really visible while playing games, recently I played a lot of dark dungeons in Titan Quest and driven during the night in Euro Truck Simlator 2 quite frequently and I was never bothered by bleed or glow and never noticed it, I could just focus on game. I remember on Dell U3415W, both units, driving in ETS2/ATS during the night was a nightmare, so much yellow bleed, it was almost like the entire extra space granted by 21:9 was lost to those freaking yellow stains biggrin.gif

I was so disappointed with Dell back then, I had perfect U2515H and hoped for quality display with U3415W, but then they didn't only sell me super faulty display, but also sent me similar one for replacement.
It's probably the bezel causing it. I hope this problem is resolved with the flat version. Anyone here own a 34UM88 care to comment?

just bought a 34uc88 for $680 shipped. can't beat that!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-34UC88-B-3440x1440-WQHD-Curved-IPS-34-LED-Monitor-/311557242089?hash=item488a423ce9:g:dSIAAOSwoBtW5z9F

Cheapest I could find. I have been waiting like most people FOREVER for the 34p, but I'm tired of waiting... when 34p comes out... I'll just use this lg as my work monitor. coming from 3x pg248q 2560x1440(7680x1440) 144hz gsync to selling them off because I have a rift cv1 now(big sim racer). Been using a 60hz 1080p monitor for a month now...yeah I miss the hz for other games but 34p will be out eventually.

Amazon has it for $699. Way easier for returns and way better customer service.

no thanks. amazon has almost $60 in sales tax. so $80 difference. and way better customer service? not lately... amazon has been horrible as a prime member to me lately... especially with returns and them not refunding. most recently with an xbox one s i decided i didn't want. Took 2 weeks to get my refund as a prime member. they didn't even know the package was returned for a week and a half.

so i saved the $80 and got it off ebay. we used to be tax free until they built an amazon here and the 2 year no tax deal ended in jan 16.

Amazon has the best customer service IF you get a north america rep. They will literally do anything you ask them. If you get someone outside of us...just hang up

I'd be willing to buy a curved LG but I'm not paying $100-150 extra for small curve that does nothing for image quality.

Hi, can the flat version (34UM88) be overclocked to 75Hz with an AMD card? Or only the curved ones can achieve that?

It's the exact same display as the curved version.
