I'll finish the S8 test bench first it's not so complex. The S8S is very complex, but much more exciting.
Thinking about leaving the rads in this position offset, two 120mmx32mm fans in push right there on this side of the 240mm rad and a single 120x32 fan on the opposite side of the 120mm rad. It looks a bit goofy in this photo, but from the overhead looks really cool.
And since I never got any input from the Posse, hehehe, positive or negative, I guess I'll just keep it this way.
That bottom black rad is coming out, and that lower bay will be empty. Or I could mount the EK dual pump top down there...sexpot bro.
The Hardware Labs Multiports are the most beautiful radiators I've ever seen in my life. The AquaComputer rads use even higher quality materials but they just do not perform as well. And ya gotta love (8) ports per rad, so many options.
Since both these white rads are "hanging out" over the edge of the case, think I'm going to use the stock white port stop plugs and just replace the stock orings which look pretty crappy, and low quality with some new Monsoon rubber orings I have in my parts drawer. If I do get a slow leak, it will not damage anything, just drip on my desk, so I may give it a try.
Should I get one more white 120mm rad and one more white 240mm rad and mount them on the other side of the case? Overkill for cooling a single 6700K, but I will add two video cards to the loop later this year.
Ahhh Bizzaro's Pizza. Bizzaros is near PPCS, so when I'm picking up parts, swing by and pick up a pie on the way home, its across the lagoon from where we live, actually everything is across the lagoon, we only have a Publix Supermarket over here. Bizzaros is owned and operated by a proper Italian from New York City and this guys crust is heavenly, it melts you don't even need to chew, sauce is amazing, but he puts on way too much pepperoni, single pep is not enough double pep is crazy, so I ask for pepperoni version 1.5, and he still puts on way too much, you have to take it off before eating. And that's my boring pizza story for the day, I'm living a weird half-life right now like a bachelor with a family. I don't really understand it completely.
And one last look at the Corsair AX860 PSU, its been a perfect power supply, rock solid since day one which was way back November 2012 when Platinum Grade was first available. Its a Seasonic OEM part. Will replace it and sell it this Friday when the Seasonic 850 Titanium arrives.Edited by iBruce - 8/23/16 at 1:25pm
