Stupid me.

Installed OS to the 750 Evo. Attempted to move the Users/Programs/Programs x86 files to the 4tb HDD and couldn't get back into the OS.

Deleted the OS and now the SSD won't allow a reinstallation of the OS as it's protecting the MBR and I can't get the drive to list the MBR. mellowsmiley.gif

So now I have a SSD paperweight. doh.gif

Did you try Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management > Delete Volume

Always works for me. smile.gif

Sweet.

Going another way with an M.2 drive so as to clean up some of this cabling as well as relocate it to the MB. But at least this gives me something else to try. thinking.gif

So will pick up an Intel 540 120GB 80mm M2 to replace it. +Rep to you sir. cheers.gif

Now I have to roll up the ole sleeves and get this drive back in order. cigar.gif

I'm a Seasonic guy, my old Seasonic-built psu has been flawless for several years, with various builds.

That new Prime Titanium is perfect for your build, and a nice big, quiet fan inside for you too.
Quite the re-design, there is no question that will be my next psu when the time comes.thumb.gif

Ceadder, you just need to return that Samsung EVO drive back to RAW Unallocated Space

Intel just released a line of M.2 NVMe SSDs called 600p. They have much faster READ speeds than SATA M.2s at the same prices. I know, since I just bought a Samsung EVO 120GB SATA M.2 for $69 like a month ago as a place holder for my 2ndary rig until Intel 3DXPoint arrives and now I wish I'd got the Intel M.2 NVMe at the exact same price. doh.gif

Also really prefer the Intel SSD Toolbox over the Samsung Magician software.

Intel 600p drives, Look at dem READs gentlemen! thumbsupsmiley.png Since the interface is PCIe 3 x 4 lanes.

Not as fast as the Sammy 950 Pro, but if you only want to spend $70 to $100 on an M.2 drive, this is a better option than the Sammy EVO SATA M.2s.

Far higher than the SATA 3 theoretical of 560MB/s

Little more expensive than the M.2 2280 I had initially chosen, but the link I left in your post is likely the one I will go with. +Rep for pointing it out to me. thumb.gif

Gonna keep the 750 Evo for myself, since I've already contacted Samsung with an inquiry ticket and they told me to delete everything on the drive and start with a fresh install since it's only going to be an OSSDrive. Sure would've liked to have the OS write to the 4TB after install, but I think that something got glitched out in the process. Oh well. blushsmiley.gif

My six monitor dream has pretty much kicked the bucket.

I tried all manner of connection configurations on the 1080s themselves but at the end of the day I'm cornered by:

1. Accessory monitors must be on the same card as the "Primary Surround".
2. The Primary Surround card is determined by which has the most Surround monitors on it.
3. Each 1080 can only output 4 video outs at once.

So I tried a USB-C to HDMI adapter to run my 6th off the motherboard. That didn't work. I didn't really think it would but someone suggested it to me.

I then bought a GTX710 this morning to run the 6th monitor. It caused all manner of driver issues and nVidia control panel would crash while opening. That didn't pan out.

I then exchanged that for a DisplayPort Hub, but the "4 monitor output maximum per card" limitation put an end to that.

I'm stuck with 5 for the long haul unless I can think of something else to try.

Brutal, sorry man, can't help on with the monitor issue. I'm going out to dinner with my wife soon, might have time to go over your bios later tonight. If not, I'll do it tomorrow morning while I have my cup of coffee.

On a side note, I ordered a Black SMA8 =] Everywhere out of stock, but Mod-One let me put the order through. Hopefully it doesn't get stuck in limbo. Now I have three CaseLabs Cases... S8S, S3 and SMA8 thumb.gif

Have you looked at complimenting with Matrox for 6 monitors? Very doable.
