Yeah if you running it on a AIO you could push it a little further but ^ he is right dial it down when hitting 80 don't want to throttle that beautiful cpu biggrin.gif

We need some music, some overclocking music.

Who is going to provide the music today?

TUFMan DJ?

Sexpot DJ?

Not me. whistle.gif

I am going to guess your going to hit at least 4.5ghz maybe 4.6ghz with the breaking in of the 6800k

The highest 6800k Silicon Lottery has found yet has been 4.4 GHz. That's testing on an AIO.

That's what I'm using. only 4.4GHz (haven't even overclocked it yet still at 3.4GHz), so sad makes me cry

I'm going back to an hour of music up above. rolleyes.gif

Addendum: yet it seems so much faster than the Z170 rig, what strange unnatural voodoo is this? biggrin.gif

We're going to be using more voltage during testing now, so there will be a 4.5 bin available soon.

Push up the voltage and try for 4.5!

Right, but I just didn't want iBruce to think he had a turd 6800k if it only hit 4.4 GHz at those voltages.

Now if EK could kindly release a monoblock for the Rampage V Edition 10 we can find out what the voltage thresholds will be under custom water. ETA is 2-3 weeks per last report.

ruffbro - memtest86 should only be used to determine if your sticks are bad or not. Stability testing is best practice to use HCI Memtest or Google Stress App Test (requires linux install). With HCI Memtest, it will do a blend between memory and cache stability. You want to shoot for 1000% coverage. With GSAT, it will focus solely on memory with a 2 hour run to secure stability.

GSAT is the preferred method for time sensitive users. HCI is more accessible since it doesn't require a Linux install.

Guide to HCI Memtest & GSAT in this thread: Link

Thanks for the info.

I'm just testing things (ie are they bad) rather than pushing things. I'll start to push on things once I get it underwater. I am using a $20 Cryorig cooler at the moment.
