Flawless Widescreen has most definitely saved me from some headaches in the past.

For a 34" ROG or Predator panel (I wanted to try G-sync) I would be $500+ over the 27" option...than another $250-300 for something better than the 1070...was adding up too much...next time around thumb.gif

Yeah, my Dell is gone and I'm highly considering the PG279Q over the X34 since it's significantly cheaper. If it goes on sale for $699 or less I may grab it next month.

A friend just bought that Asus PG348Q monitor and a single GTX 1070. He runs Battlefield 4 and a couple newer racing games, and Witcher 3 (what ever it's called), all maxed out perfectly fine. Those games look incredible on that monitor. I've been going over there and playing some BF4 recently and having a blast. The monitor is super clear and sharp. It's also huge! I'd love to have one, but simply can't afford it. If anyone has been thinking about getting that particular monitor, and can afford it, I say go for it. You will not be disappointed. After playing on that huge monitor for a few days and coming back to my 27 inch monitor, mine now looks like a 10 inch tablet screen. I have GOT to get something of this size, but may end up having to get a damn 2560x1080, which still may be nice.

It's not so bad! :p I enjoy it more than I thought I would walking back from 16:9 4k. The 2560x1080 displays are inexpensive but have the potential to put out a very nice image, which makes them perfect if you're on a budget or waiting for something in particular. I didn't want to spend another £500 or more for a display until the one I truly want appears (34" curved ultrawide, 100+ FPS, preferably 2160p but could go 1440p, VA or OLED). Samsung's S34E790C very nearly hit the mark, but 60Hz struck again.

I know...teh sex... drool.gif

But $1,300 is a lot of money vs. the $480 I've dropped on my Dell DG2716 ... and I knew that BF4 would run OK on a single card (I have a ITX rig now, so no option), but I did not know what to expect from BF1 or later titles...and the option to go for $650+ cards and $800+ on the panel alone was not a wise move atm...oh, the sacrifises we make in the process of becoming a real adults with mortgage payments and offspring in the oven...tongue.gif

Is the only way to get bf1 + in game extras on PC through the origin store?

Is the amazon bundle is just the statute/etc with the base game?

For those who cant wait, you could pay of origin access ($5), get the 10% off from being an access member, play the game early, and cancel your membership after.

I am a bad person, I gave in and purchased the "Ultimate Edition" of BF: 1 because I know I will get my dollars per-hour worth back out of the game. I feel bad for letting EA think it is okay to charge $130 ($117 with EA Access) for a game + DLC, but I simply cannot stave off playing BF: 1 to wait for prices to drop. I will see you all on the battlefield on Thursday (the 13th) for 10 hours as soon as I'm off work, and then again on the 18th for even more early access! The release is almost upon us everyone!
